Did anyone see Mac Jones when he came in last night?

He had this silly grin and gave the double thumbs up to Piersbacher, like "Woo hoo, I'm in!" Pretty funny.

He was giddy. But I also saw a brief “oh shite” look in his eyes when Tua got his goodies thumped. Mac has talent, but needs PT. The coaches should let him run the offense when he gets the chance and not just hand off. He was one bad hit from being the man last night.

It still seems odd to me that Tua had to sit out a play considering he was hurt on a non-play.

I don't know how Tua came back in as soon as he did. They would have had to cart me off the damn field

What was odd to me, is that if Tua was ready to go back in, why didn't we call a timeout then to get him back in? We were close to FG range at least; I would have thought Saban would have tried for the points.

The rule states you have to sit out atleast one actual play after coming out for a injury.

Timeout wouldn’t have mattered

I think that’s the case anyways

I think the rule is that a team can use a time out to get a player's eligibility back .

Tuas nuts were knocked into his throat, he might’ve needed a minute.

Is this an example of taking 2 (1) for the team? Also the hit was a partial side hit which may have made the pain a little less severe then a full frontal.

Yes. In the 2007 Bama LSU game Matt Flynn was "injured" on a play and Les Miles used a timeout so he didn't have to miss a play.
