After looking at who is returning in 2024, I think that this unit could be really good even though Eboigbe is gone. I’m really excited to see how good LT Overton is.

Rumor around Overton is he needs to bulk up and really hit the conditioning program. Be curious to see if he pushes for playing time right away

Easier to put on weight with his build. He should be fine.

Needs to get up to 280 at least.

Oatis, Tim Smith, Keenan, Payne, Latham all have valuable experience.

I’m looking for James Smith, Renaud and maybe Perry to take that next step. Edric Hill might be a surprise as well.

I would love to see these guys become solid contributors… but I would really hope Smith can becoming incredibly disruptive and start becoming a difference maker.

I think Smith becomes a force next year. Renaud I expect to be really, really good too. One thing I noticed in a video of playoff prep, Edric Hill was running some drills with the first unit. Hopefully at least one or two of these guys can break out. I think Renaud is a sleeper and could be a super star if he can put on a little more weight so he can play the run more consistently.

Don’t know if Perry will ever be large enough to play much at DT…

Renaud is a very good player. He showed some flashes when he played against UTC. He has the frame to carry more weight while maintaining his athleticism. James Smith is the guy that I’m hopeful can take a big step forward and become a disruptive force in the middle. Also hope that Oatis can get healthy and become a force.

Perry might end up transferring. He’s just not big enough to hold up on the line of scrimmage. I saw him get totally overwhelmed by Olaus Alinen at A Day this past spring.

That may be an issue, then. According to Texas A&M posters, his weight has dropped to 255. Can he put on 25 lbs of good weight in one off season?

Maybe he ends up as an outside pass rusher at that weight. Braswell played at 255 this season.
