Some folks on here either don’t remember or never lived through the 3 Mikes plus Frachione era. This whole idea that Deboer inherited a goldmine is bs other than the brand itself.

Mark Richt era has begun
Mark Richt would have made the playoff like 7 or 8 times and a couple of his teams would have had legit shots at a championship and were significantly better than this one. There's just so much parity right now that your B- game might not be enough to beat the worst teams in the conference consistently, but excluding buy games we just don't go out there and kick someone's arse very often. They make too many mistakes. Even when they win they give up multiple cheap scores or leave a bunch of points on the field every week. Sometimes both. If you consistently play your B- game in this kind of league you're going to be balancing on a knife's edge every week and you just aren't ever going to win enough games playing that way. Its one thing to go 3-0 in 1 score games and another to go 8-0 in one score games.

We're not the only team doing this but every team with our type of payroll isn't having these problems every week. The problem with DeBoer regime thus far is that the B- to B game you speak of is about their ceiling against quality competition. Yes, everyone is having closer, sloppier games now but one or two times a season the top competition beats the brakes off a power conference opponent. We just seem incapable of doing that to anyone but a beleaguered Wisconsin program. Tennessee this year was as close as we've gotten against an SEC opponent but it never really felt like we put the belt to arse to me at least. A single play right before halftime completely changed that game for us but we never really put them all the way away until very late.
Right now, Georgia seems poised to put that belt to Texas's arse and not let them hang around. We just lack that type of game it seems. We do a good job of creating a B- to B type of game and see if we can be just barely enough better against power conference teams.

Coaching didn’t throw a pick 6, and fumble the ball giving them a field goal. Ty Simpson did that. Coaching didn’t miss an easy field goal either. This is on the players IMO.

Lol. We lost to a good team by 2 points after giving them 17 points and can still can make our own path to the championship, but the sky is falling. Deboer didn’t coach Williams to fumble. He didn’t coach Ty to throw a pick 6 or hold the ball like a loaf of bread when he’a about to get hit. We fix those issues, and we might be ok.

That’s what Billy Napier says, too. Maybe FL should have not fired him.

Who coaches the players?
We had one drive where the RT top a step towards his guard to give some help when he had a wide-9 tech EMLOS past his outside shoulder presnap. Like why in the world would a RT do that? You take one short step to guard against the swim move then start widening out once he commits to the outside angle. At no point should you be giving help to your RG.
If that was coached as the protection plan, that is criminal negligence by the OLC. Regardless, if any RT thinks thats the plan on a 3rd and obvious passing situation then there was a coaching failure somewhere around him.

DeBoer had him back there. I literally said “please don’t fumble” to my son when I heard it was Williams catching the ball. RW is extremely soft and scared. That was awful, awful coaching

Deboer put RW back there fielding kicks, Deboer for some reason, ran our last drive as of we were already ahead. Did he know we were behind?? You run a 2 min offense down 2 with 7 minutes to go. Then you possibly get another possession.
He made multiple bad coaching decisions.

100%. Especially when their offense isn’t good and had done almost nothing all day without help. No reason to keep the ball away from them. Absolutely horrid coaching today

I wouldn’t say he’s soft at all. Dude has taken some crazy hits this year. His hands are the problem right now.

Why do you think he started dropping passes over the middle? Brooks, Horton, and Bernard have all caught balls and hung on after taking big hits in the middle. None of them started “hearing footsteps” and dropped passes or clearly started avoiding contact. He’s soft and scared

Well RW took hits to the helmet against FSU and Vandy. Might want to take note of Germie’s drops today as well.
He also got leveled against UGA making a good catch on the sideline.

Hell will freeze over before Lane Kiffin is head coach at Alabama, no matter how many fans scream for it on message boards.

Sorry I criticized your son, Mrs. Williams. Please tell him to grow a pair and toughen up when you talk to him.

Your arse probably never taken hit on a football field in your life. I got my broken facemasks I’ll send pics of.
Lot of things I don’t like about Williams myself, but that goes for all prima donna 5 stars. Painting the nails and carrying the teddy bear is bitch stuff, but I’m not going to say he’s soft. The kid can make some insane catches.

False. I’ll give you one example. I wasn’t very fast but after several teammates kept fumbling punt returns they put me back there to just field it given my hands. I caught it, got lit up immediately and held on. No way I was fumbling the first time they let me field a punt.

Then you should recognize when a receiver starts hearing footsteps. It’s not hard to spot.

He’s had a concussion followed by another hit to the helmet. He’s probably hearing colors too but still playing through it. He shouldn’t be fielding punts though. That I will agree on. He doesn’t have the muscle or arm strength.
