The players were ask by Byrnes to wait 72 hrs for the new coach. If they didn’t feel comfortable with the hire, they’d have 27 days to enter the portal.
Bonds didn’t wait.. he ran off to Austin and got his picture in the Lamborghini..
He tried to reach out to Coach yesterday.. Coach Deboer did not return his call..
I say! Good job coach! If your foot is already half way out the door, we don’t need you going forward!
Next man up!

I think you might have this backwards.
Mike Rodak of 247Sports said this:

When DeBoer got the job and reached out to Bond, the former top-50 recruit from Georgia didn't get back to Alabama's new coach, Bond told ESPN.

It's the other way around.

Not what I was told

You think Bond is going to say, “he didn’t call me back”

You think the coach isn’t going to reach out to current players?
Especially ones that recently jumped in the portal?
Lol kid wanted to leave. It’s gonna be ok

Might be semantics all the way around. Bond may have been contacted, but not by DeBoer (but by his staff). Or vice versa.

Really hope most of our team sticks together and we see Texas in the SEC title game. That way DeBoer can whip Sark again.

Yep. That's what is being reported on X.

Apparently Bond himself told ESPN that DeBoer reached out to him, that’s what ESPN’s article about Bond’s transfer says.

I think he hesitates to reach out to a kid that’s in Austin Texas getting his picture made!
I’m positive he’s reached out to the players that might be on the fence or that haven’t flown to another Campus before he was even named the Coach.. just my opinion

So you are under the belief that Bond is going to admit Deboer didn’t call him back?

Regardless of what happened, Alabama just lost it's best receiver.

Hopefully the door hit his disloyal arse on his way out.

I’m under the belief that Bond said to ESPN that DeBoer called him and that he (Bond) did not return DeBoer’s call.

Sark recruited him heavily out of high school and Texas is about to lose their top 2 receivers to the draft. Nothing as simple as a timely phone call would've changed his mind.
The WR position under DeBoer is something no one should be concerned about. Prentice, Law and Niblack could be a lethal combination in this offense alone. Add in some other guys that didn't get many opportunities under Rees, plus the incoming talent, and there's little cause for worry.

Screw Bond.
I remember more than one receiver and tight end recently who thought so highly of themselves and both went to TX.
Yall remember Hall and Billingsly? Remember when we all thought Jacori Brooks was going to be the next great receiver?
Bama and DeBoer will be just fine without Bond.

I want to make note that I was NEVER in the Brooks camp. The guy was all about himself.
