Interesting road game coming up...

So apparently we are playing at the traditional NDS basketball Arena which has a seating capacity of 3300...

I wanted to check it out, so googled it. In that process I saw that on campus, a few blocks from the arena we are playing in, resides a large 11,000 seat indoor arena... Yep, that's for the North Dakota State Men's Hockey Team. Priorities are different up there

How is Creighton not ranked in the AP nor coaches polls ? They beat Kansas handily last week when KU was number one. It literally makes no sense.

Their second best win is a pretty bad Notre Dame. Outside of Kansas they've lost to every good team on their schedule.

Yeah, Creighton's around Missouri or Georgia so far based on resumes even with the Kansas home win.

They're a good team and will add some quality conference wins at home but with the SEC the way it is, they may not be in our toughest 20 games by season end.

Glad we won. Still pissed about the uncalled foul on Trevor Releford's 3 pointer at the buzzer in the opening round of the NCAA tournament.

I probably sound like a Houston Mallette relative at this point, but he’s the best shooter on our team and we got him exactly zero shots. He was wide open in the corner on at least 1 3 pointer that someone rushed. He also averaged an offensive rebound every 4 minutes (had 2 in 8 minutes). That’s 10 offensive rebounds per 40 minutes for those math lovers. Give the man some minutes and how about we try to get him a shot at the end of the half instead of watching Sears mess up another end of clock situation (I can’t take much more of that after the Oregon game…Sears is great, but he’s the worst end of clock creator we’ve had in a long time)!

I wouldn't generally say this, but I think we owe him that. He agreed to burn his redshirt (knowing he would probably see many more minutes next year). Let's see what he's made of before we get into conference play.

I completely agree.

The offense is designed for whoever is open to take the shot but the guys on the floor would do well to make an extra pass to get Mallette the shot sometimes the way they did with Latrell.

Nothing wrong with being a Mallette truther. Dude plays hard and has a nice looking shot.

Yeah, I definitely hope Mallette starts to get a little more time.

I think Youngblood will shake off the rust and be really solid from behind the arc. His shot looks good.

One thing to mention is that the young players that are missing a lot from deep so far are also ones that, as a coach, you don't discourage from shooting. Reid and Philon especially.

Just coach them up to be aware of some game situations when getting Mallette or Sears an open look would be ideal.

He won me over quick and it had nothing to do with his shooting. On every defensive rebound that he doesn't collect, he looks like he is trying to beat Usain Bolt to the other end of the floor.

Please sticky a season thread for bball. If chicken gets his panties in a bunch, I will take full responsibility.
