Yes it works but when 2 dribbles all over the place it becomes stagnant. Sears did the same thing last year.

Are our fans really criticizing Nate Oats offense right now?

Our offenses is ranked 6th in the country right now. And that’s with us shooting horrifically.

Our offenses under him have ranked 37,30,16,20,2, and 6

In the 7 years before him they were ranked 151,128,53,164,152,106, and 103

What are we complaining about?

It was a fun atmosphere last night. Hopefully sometime soon this team can find its killer instinct and put a team away when we have the chance early. It never should’ve been a game in the 2nd half. Maybe that’ll click over these next 3 games before conference play.

Good, but not elite. Definitely feel like they are finding "guys". Reed is proving you can put him on 1-3 which is big. Stevenson has been a bright spot on rotations. We need to create a bit more chaos and I think that is tough to do with T-Rex guys on the perimeter in Sears and Holloway. Reed's length proves to be a bit more frustrating for opposing guards. Hopefully this will be true of Youngblood as well.

Dumbass FOGs think we should blowout every team on the schedule and that every player has to play their best every night in November and December games.

Well I think that's because we do some things fundamentally well like rebounding and making free throws. Those are vital in winning lots of games. I'm not saying we are trash, I'm saying we have too many players shooting three's when all of them shouldn't be

Mo D is the best defender we have. Not sure why he barely played last night.

If Youngblood can play some good defense he will be on the court a lot. Nate wants to get 3 guards out there to really run and gun. But Sears, Philon, and Holloway together cant play enough tough defense.

Ranked 35th right now.

About what we all thought. Not as elite as the Herb or Bediako teams but still very good.

Hell of a lot better than 111th like we were last year

I have liked how Cliff looks a lot more the past 2 games. He wasn't perfect last night, but his motor was running. I still think his ceiling will dictate how good we can be defensively. If he can become a paint stopper the way Bediako did late in his Soph season, I think this team can become very stingy defensively.

Youngblood getting back closer to full strength will be critical. He’s a big guard with length. You also tell that he’s shaking off some of the rust by his shooting last night. Hopefully he can get right before SEC play starts.

We have a problem with matchups. Nate wants at least two ball handlers on the court. We have those guys but they are short. Nate wants to run these huge athletic guys like Reid/Mo/Jarin on the perimeter. But that usually leaves one of our small guys guarding a much bigger player. Hopefully, adding Mallette and Youngblood will alleviate some of that problem. Estrada was a good mix last year; a ball handler with size. Reid/Mo/Jarin are not guys who we can trust as the secondary ball handler.

Cliff is starting to settle into the defense and Youngblood is supposed to be an elite defender.

New AP Poll should have 5 Sec teams in top 7.

The utter dominance in non-conference play by the SEC has just been silly. I'm really hoping we have a few paper tigers who haven't really challenged themselves and won't consistently play well in league play.

It's starting to get pretty annoying. These chucklefricks need to start watching other teams play. We're really, really good even though we've looked like we're playing with one hand tied behind our back at times this season because we're just not making our 3s. Seriously, people want to gripe about our offense? Go watch a real dumpster fire on that end like UVA or TCU play and get back to us.

Anyone talked about how miserable officiating was last night? Shows straight up shrugged his shoulders at the crowd when Nelson got WWE’d going to the basket at one point. The grey headed dude missed the most obvious OOB call off the Creighton PG’s foot, watched the replay on the overhead that showed it again and shrugged it off too.

How the hell is our conference so good at football and basketball yet we have the worst officiating by a mile

No doubt it’s terrible. Also go back to a question that was asked last night. How is Creighton not ranked in the AP nor coaches polls ? They beat Kansas handily last week when KU was number one. It literally makes no sense.
