I didn't even realize he transferred to MTSU

Corey McCarron will enter from the south end zone tunnel wearing blue and white. The former Alabama tight end and brother to AJ McCarron will be with his new team when Middle Tennessee State opens the Tide home schedule at 3 p.m.
After graduating from Alabama in May, the younger McCarron transferred to the Murfreesboro, Tenn., school for one final year of college football. Blue Raiders coach Rick Stockstill quickly dismissed the idea that his new transfer could help crack Alabama's code before Saturday's game.

He lived in the apartment next door to me with Austin Shepard last year. I didn't know he transferred.

Don't understand the link to MTSU plus having graduated in May, then transferring, seems strange, but doesn't impact me. Is he a starter ... does he even play?
