Considering we’ve won a title with McElroy, McCarron, and Coker...

It is a travesty that barring a miracle we won’t win one with Tua starting. I get that he came in and saved the day in ‘17, but I’m looking at it from a full season standpoint.

Happens to many of the greats. Most of the starting QBs in the NFL never came close to winning a NC.

Recruiting misevaluations

I think the mass exodus of coaches the last several seasons has had a greater impact.

The national title 2 years ago was clearly Tua's. I think Jalen was like 3 of 8 for 21 yards and 0 points in the first half.

I don't know about injury prone because I'm not sure I believe that's an actual thing, but I do know he's the most talented quarterback since at least Stabler and Namath.

Let's not forget that he set the alltime ncaa record last year for single season pass efficiency.

Tua won 2 years ago because he had nothing to lose. He just cane in and played. He thought about the Heisman too much last year. Don’t know what he was thinking last night in the first half.

Coaching has let us down the past 2 years. We've got elite players, but have high school coordinators that are completely unprepared in big games.

Do you not realize an injured leg or ankle will impact a quarterbacks entire game, physical and mental?

In just about every big game since 2nd and 26, Tua appears to try to do too much by himself in those games. He presses and it ends up backfiring and causes mistakes. Just my opinion

There is no way Tua was 100% last night and it impacted his game.

He couldn’t buy time in the pocket like he usually does for sure

That's what happens when you lose so many starters early to the NFL and also have major injuries at some of those same slots. Not to mention players that have left the team, been told to leave, recruiting busts, etc.

This defense leaves little room for error by the offense and special teams.

Yup...Tua was a liability mostly for 2 quarters.
