Sark has to hire a DC now.

Tosh has been offered the D-Line position by the Dallas Cowboys.

If he returns to college football he wants a DC job.

Don't know.

I did just read Pete Golding has a $1.8 million buyout.

In short, he ain't going anywhere.

Per Horns247, Arnette (DC at Miss St) is a candidate and per Dennis Dodd (CBSSports) Friday, Sark has talked to Arky DC Barry Odom.

It wouldn't surprise me if Sark also targets Derrick Ansley (Tenn DC).

I think Sark got a little too greedy on his DC search. I think he should've retained Ash. I think Ash is a more proven DC than Arnett. But instead it looks like he focused all his energy on Golding and Lanning, and Ash decided he wasn't wanted at UT so he took a position coaching spot with Urban.

Now Sark has to pull Arnett from MSU or Odom from Arky or he might be in some trouble with his DC hire, and the DC hire is his most important hire seeing as how he is an offensive coach and needs the DC to be able to fully run the defense.

Ash has been considering other options and finally chose to join Meyer's staff at J'ville.

Also rumblings that Huff will be announced for Marshall today
Good for Huff but I don’t get the hire as HC. RB coach to HC that’s a big reach.

He's also the AHC, been a ST Coordinator, and has held RGC titles in the past. He's spent essentially his tenure at the Capstone directly assisting Saban in HC matters beyond the football field.

You don't have to run an offense or defense to become a HC, it's much more. Huff has proven at every stop he's a top flight coach, elite recruiter, and has been tasked with AHC and recruiting coordinator roles as well.

Doc Holliday never held an OC/DC/ST coordinator title before he was hired by Marshall either. Both also share pretty good recruiting ties in the state of Florida, a pipeline Marshall knows it needs to keep...

Dabo Swinney had never been a coordinator before he was promoted from AHC/WR to interim HC/OC and then long-term HC at Clemson. He caught on pretty quickly.

We may have an entirely new offensive staff next year, in a year where we will be breaking in numerous new starters on offense at numerous positions.

Fantastic.
