Just kidding he doesn’t GAF
quote:

“First of all, the system is clearly broken. I’m all for figuring out a way to fix it," Oats said. "Since the NCAA has already allowed professionals to play – virtually every team we’ve played this year has a former professional player on their roster – you tell me how I’m supposed to tell Charles and the team that we’re not gonna support them when he’s been deemed legally eligible to play.”

“Charles is still within his 5-year window. He’s 23 years old. He’s pursuing his degree here at Alabama. We’ve got a roster spot open, so this is not taking any opportunities away from a high school recruit or anybody else. Charles shouldn’t be punished for choosing the academic route out of high school rather than the professional route like the international players on this.”

This makes me love Oats more, which I thought was impossible.

Oats to the rest of the world
Bama is just doing what everybody else is doing. Apparently they only get mad when Bama plays professional players.

Now he just needs to say he hasn't spoken with Todd Golden about his comments but has been in contact with a female student who is willing to act as a go between to facilitate a quick response.

Yup. They've created a system where NCAA basketball is on the same level as any other non-NBA professional league, but none of those leagues give a shite where you were playing last season when signing players. It's fricking stupid, but the NCAA made this bed.

If I were Golden with his history, I would shut the frick up and coach. You really want to open yourself up to people talking about your baggage over another school doing player eligibility shenanigans?

His best bet would be to be quiet and hope everyone forgets but obviously impulse control is an issue for him in the media and his personal life.

Im thankful Golden said something and the guaranteeing victory part over Bama is even better. Im tired of losing to them and whatever it takes for us to get up for the game I will gladly accept.

I'm not a fan of players that have left schools for the pros coming back if pros don't work out but with the free for all that the nutless NCAA has created by their own ineptitude I hope Big Chuck drops 40 pts and 20 rebs on the toothless wonders Sat night.
