As far as what it means for the program, it doesn't mean anything other than boosters having to spend money they haven't had to spend for the last 20 years thanks to Saban if we have to fire him in a year or two.
As far as what it represents, it's just another sign of how we got to this shitty, fricked up version of college athletics that currently exists. Who the frick else gets a 20% raise every 2 years for not doing a bad job?

The buyout is what he owes us if he decides to leave. If we fire him without cause, we owe him 90% of the remaining contract with no reduction if he gets another job.

Alfie is one of my favorite characters. He’s just great man. There is very little that Hardy doesn’t do well. He’s a phenomenal actor.
