Which is what we definitely need to do. DL, LB, and OL.

Ruffin is a good talent. But don’t think there was ever mutual interest.

I don’t think any of our DL commits are all that big. I seem to recall they’re all in the 240-260 lb range, which is way too small. They’ll need to add 25-40 lbs or get killed out there.

I’m hoping Bama can pick up at least one and preferably two DTs that are 290+ lbs in the portal.

Most people think there are dozens of good DT/DEs in the portal but that’s not true. Usually, there are only 3-4 good ones. The rest are former 2-3 star recruits.

And the good ones are top dollar prospects. If we’re not willing to pay then we are shite out of luck for grabbing sure things and stuck with hoping dumpster diving finds treasure in someone else’s trash.

May be a dumb question but - If a player transfers after losing their head coach, are they immediately eligible at their new school…or do they have to wait till new season?

During the season?

No.

Well, no for now.

It'd be interesting to see how it would fall out in court if a kid were to sue to be immediately eligible mid-season.

If we could pull that Anderson kid from LSU I'd be ecstatic

Jeremiah Beaman was a 260lb DT/Edge as a senior in HS. He was playing at 315 twelve months later.

Maybe not to the extent of Beaman, but the guys we have committed on DL for this cycle will certainly put on some weight when they get here.
