You still haven't addressed the most important topic on whether Locks is the greatest WR coach in Bama history and the greatest developer of wide receivers in college football in the last 10-20 years. Answering this is the only way Bama wins another title .

Honestly I forgot Locks coached WRs at Alabama.

Maryland transfer C.J. Dippre just committed to us from the transfer portal. A 6'5" TE is someone we definitely need. Good addition.

Nice addition. I really want to see how Niblack improves. He and Dippre will be a nice combination if he has made strides. Outzs looked good against Auburn, too.

He’s a surprisingly athletic big guy. He likes to hurdle defenders.

I think it’s an ok depth addition, but he’s not a big time needle mover. His stats aren’t off the chart, and he’s not really crazy athletic or anything.

Big Dippin', spendin' cheese...

But seriously, thank God we got another tight end. And considering who we got him over, I'm guessing he's really damn good. A Michigan fan on Reddit was impressed with him on the commitment post, and happy Ohio State didn't get him.

Sounds like Maryland fans say OSU was tampering, and we're glad that anyone else landed him.

Maybe we need to send another QB to locks as a thanks.

Would be nice to see him and Outz in some 2 TE sets next year

It's not about his stats. It's about what he can bring to the table. This is right decision for Alabama and Dippre. Kid has lot of potential that's untapped and I really think he can bring something to the offense for Bama. Niblack/Outzes still will see playing time, and I think between three of them, We'll do very well. Niblack and Dippre bring different elements and that's huge. Look at Georgia and how they use their TE.

This is not a okay addition. This is significant addition and it upgrades the TE room to the point that we'll have no issue with productions.

We will see lot of 2 TE Sets often. We'll see some rotations... More flexibility in how they use TE. Make it hard for defense to figure out if we're going to run/pass, etc. We can Slip TE out a lot, similar to Georgia.

So, If we can get a LB, Safety, QB or WR transfer... we should be good.

Not sure why his stats aren’t greater. He looks athletic enough and he is huge.
ETA: I mean’t that he seemed underutilized at Maryland.

Looks like Saban has had enough of not using the TE maybe, hopefully?

I dont know why we only value these big slow TEs especially now that we throw more than we run.

Irv Smith, Billingsly were not big, slow TEs. Neither is Niblack. And the Dippre guy looks to be pretty damn athletic.
