If tweet fails to load, click here. This is not good. I don’t think I have ever seen this with Alabama players.

Why? It doesn’t mean shite. At least half those guys will transfer out at some point because state loyalty means little anymore. Plus we had a 1st year head coach with no in state relationships so it’s not surprising

Yup doesn’t mean anything at all. Just nothing to see, move on.

We passed on 2, 4,7, & 8.
Would think Jared Smith would likely be at Bama had we pushed for him and Zion Grady WOULD, be at Bama had the new staff had the slightest interest

You really think all those guys will stick with their schools?
You think our 1st year HC having no established relationships to the state doesn’t play a huge part in not landing the top instate guys in his FIRST year?

Why is this a problem? This isn't the 1950s. You don't have to get the top guys in your state if you can recruit successfully on a national level.
shite you don't even need a single player in-state realistically
Barners will tout this as some sort of moral victory but last time I checked our recruiting class is ranked above theirs and they're scrambling around trying to put together their first 7 win season since 2019

Having a top 5 class with the first year HC and staff, but still complaining about the lack of in-state talent is a pretty entitled mindset.
Who really cares?

We signed the Gatorade National Player or the Year/Maxwell National High School POY.
We signed the #1 player from 4 or 5 states.
We finished #2 in recruiting per some services.

And are bringing in a very solid transfer class on top of that. Some of the people complaining are obvious trolls.

People are reading too much Auburn propaganda. They just had their 4th straight losing season with a second year head coach. Alabama absolutely missed in a couple of those guys they wanted but relationships take time. Auburn is going to put out as much positive spin as they can. Give this staff a couple of years to build relationships and let’s see how they recruit the state going forward. Just finished with the number 2 recruiting class and have hit most of our major needs in the portal with quality starters from other p4 programs.

I'm supposed to be upset we didn't sign a high school DL over this 6'4 290lb clone of Thanos just because he's not from AL?

Alabama top 10 list...
What we know about them is that all except #1 on that list compare reasonably well with Prentice, E-man, and Hurley. Prentice ended up at Baylor while E-man and Hurley ended up at Kansas. So we "missed out" on 8 or 9 kids that likely would transfer to another but lower teir school. Is that really a miss?

Well, Oregon would not be the #1 team in the nation with Eugene, Oregon 500mi recruiting radius...
