Alabama on top for elite running back recruit Ezavier Crowell

quote:

Ezavier Crowell was in Tuscaloosa to see the opener in person and he came away impressed with that he saw on the field and with the time UA assistant coaches spent with him before and after the blowout.

"Bama visit was great," Crowell told Rivals. "The atmosphere was great. The DeBoer era has officially begun??. I like everything about Alabama. Great school, great fans, and atmosphere. I grew up watching the Tide with my dad.

"They sit at the top of my list."

I'll be interested to see what recruits FSU/UF has committed that will be flip targets later. Someone on another board mentioned that they don't have any DL or S prospects we might want, but I don't believe he's aware of the DL from Grayson (Ga.) that is blowing up right now that's committed to UF that everyone just offered.

Isn't he Isaiah Crowell's cousin? Thought I'd read that, but can't find it now.

Are you referring to Javion Hilson , an edge who was committed to Alabama?

We already have our edges committed

Recruiting Rumor Mill: More chatter rolls in from Week 1 visits

quote:

Antavious Richardson

The three-star cornerback from Greenville, Ga., has been committed to South Florida since June but Alabama had him on campus over the weekend and now he’s a serious target for the Crimson Tide. Richardson loved how the coaches greeted him in Tuscaloosa and made him feel comfortable there and now the word is that Alabama has a good chance to flip him at some point.

Not yet. I saw someone on BOL say he ran a 10.6 100 meter dash at 6'2" 175 pounds so he can book it.

I think he said he was going to spend more time with his family. I believe his kids are in college.

IMO the tougher matchup would be trying to cover RW and Brooks on the field together, and just imagine if Odom develops as a true 1-on-1 matchup nightmare.

Standout performances week two of high school football

quote:

Alabama offensive tackle commit Jackson Lloyd (No. 26) had a strong outing in his season debut. The 6-foot-6.5, 280-pounder showed some improvements in his pass set. Lloyd was smooth and quick in his kick slide, showing the plus coordination we see from him as a three-sport standout. We also liked his physicality and effort to finish blocks in the run game.

I'm kind of a Brooks truther but I don't want to hype him up too much because my endorsement is the kiss of death for an incoming freshman.

It's so wild seeing our coaches do this sort of thing.
