BOLO’s film kinda looks like the Waterboy: see ball carrier, destroy ball carrier. I love it haha

Yeah they picked up some really good additions via portal.

Pete Golding is still the defensive coordinator lol

I’m not gonna minimize their portal moves, however:
1. They still have a #13 recruiting class
2. They still have Golding
3. TA&M tried the same strategy and failed
I just don’t know if you can build your entire starting defense from the portal. A defense needs to play cohesively and together. How can a bunch of mercs do that? I guess we will see, but I’m not exactly worried yet

Yeah right now we need to be more worried about reverend Freeze taking all the recruits with strippers and blow. No joke, he’s doing short term damage.

I don't know if it's hard to win with all of transfers. I mean they have 6 months of gelling and then having to play in actual games.... If half of the roster is transfer then how do you instill chemistry in short amount of time? Colorado tried that and it was a diaster.

Colorado has a 1-11 team prior.
Ole Miss has a good team, a good culture instilled with a very good offensive mind.
All they really needed this year was enough defensive talent to make individual plays to offset the terrible DC.
They seem to be addressing that problem.
Just seems ironic we buy players like anyone else but people can't stand to see others do it. We all do, we just have the best leader who can get them to actually buy in.
Let's see if Kiffin can grow and do what Saban does.
If he can, he could be auditioning to take over after Saban...

I’ve never thought that we don’t “buy players”, just that we are much more selective in the players we “buy”. Additionally, we don’t seem to be willing to absolutely break the bank.
To me, it appears that Kiffin is throwing the entire bank at the portal in the hopes of making a single season run next year. That’s not exactly a formula for sustained success. I don’t think Kiffin and Saban’s names can be mentioned in the same breath because Kiffin has yet to win anything of consequence, much less on a consistent basis. I wouldn’t even want Kiffin as a Saban replacement in the future.

Well yeah because they don't have as much talent as we do so they can't be selective as we can.
They have more needs so obviously they will be more aggressive.

If Lane can figure out his road woes the Rebels may make some noise in the new 12 team CFP.
If 12 teams happened this year they would be in it so imagine with his roster looking even better for next year I expect them to be there.

Bama will get their fair share so I'm not concerned.
Ok, they flipped Perry Thompson and called it a win for Freeze. It happens.
Bama held them off for Jeremiah Beaman, who AU told was a top priority, so in my book, Freeze took a loss. Same with Mbakwe, AU tried flipping him also,Bama won that battle.
Bama is winning some of these battles against Freeze too.
