Rodney says a source close to Haynes says Kirby has made a nice run, but that he's still expected to likely sign with Bama.

At any rate, DL is the primary concern to finish the class. Need more guys that create havoc and then need to make serious coaching changes at that position and other positions.

It has been said AU will go all in on NIL with Smith, and on3 says this about Hobbs:

quote:

“This could be the biggest, I think, of them all,” Simmons said Monday during On3’s Inside Scoop recruiting show. “Georgia came into this one trailing not only Tennessee, but likely Alabama as well. I think Georgia at least passed Alabama this weekend; they may have passed Tennessee as well. You have let the visit high settle for a few days, maybe recheck your sources in the middle of the week.

…But I talked to Hobbs himself this morning when he left, and I talked to multiple sources throughout the weekend connected to Georgia. Everything went basically 10 out of 10 for Hobbs, and I think he liked what he saw in the team, liked what he saw in visit as far as the culture. I think it’s Georgia-Tennessee right now battling for that top spot, and Georgia could be trending a little bit. Again, it’s pretty quickly coming off the visit, but I like where Georgia is at.”

Still time left, but what else is out there we can really sign?

Long-shot for Bain, likely Miami bound.

Hope we hold onto Young but I would not be shocked either or anyone else. On the outside the program looks to be in rough shape. You have fans, former players, and analysts talking negative about the program. You know every coach is negative recruiting as well and everything they are saying is being said by the before mentioned. This is going to be a rough signing day unless we finish strong and/or make major changes on the staff.

Nobody should ever be shocked by the decisions of an 18 year old. Oregon, where Richard Young is being predicted to flip by this guy, has never won a single national championship in football. And they have just as many losses as we do this year, with one of them being a real curb stomping. If Young flips to them, I suspect it would be due to NIL considerations, or concern with our OL. A good showing by our OL in these last two games might make us more appealing to him.

Didn’t spiegleman put in that prediction before he committed to Alabama?

Yes. Don’t think Young to Oregon train has gained much traction lately.

Late risers: Five Midwest recruits who are heating up

quote:

LB Arion Carter

Only a handful of recruits see their stock rise like Arion Carter has in recent months. The one-time Memphis commit backed off of his pledge following an official visit to Ohio State over the weekend. The Buckeye's have made Carter a priority recruit, but they will face stiff competition for the standout from Smyrna, Tenn. with Tennessee and Alabama also making moves for his signature on Dec. 21.
