Man the defensive line talent we are getting is unreal.
I don't know how Eboigbe isn't a 5-star. Alfano is one. If we close with Sopsher, we would have 3 5-stars and the rest high 4-star talent.
That's crazy.
Also, don't sleep on Ingraham. He's very underrated. Injury hampered his junior year. Check out his senior film.
Ive been saying this for a while I dont care who else we sign as long as Eboigbe, Alfono,
Shane Lee are in this class on the defensive side of the ball.
If we steal Sanders ,Battle,Bogle and Neal from all three fla schools it would look like the movie blue chips..lol..

Collins, Ross and Webb is becoming a bad trend.

Agree but if Bama can get Wright, Neal they should be good but I agree it stinks to lose a coveted in state prospect.

Irv didn't seem like that great of a recruiting pickup at the time. Just gotta see how these guys pan out.
I think we do need one or two big impact receivers for 2020, but those guys were never going to be easy to get in 2019 with all of the guys we have coming back. There's not a spot for an instant-impact guy to get on the field.

I didn't think we were really in it for wright anymore, plus I read that UGA was going in on him hard. I'd just hate to loose Webb but I have been preparing for it

What's the trend? One high recruit per cycle leaving state? That isn't a trend; it's happened forever.
Ross hurt. The others, not so much.

"I am not leaning anywhere currently. Very tough read. 100% truth is I think it could go either way. I've said this since the summer when many had Webb a lock to Bama. I think Clay for sure knows where he is going but I don't think Clay has told anyone. He's a very quiet kid by nature so its not hard for him to keep the secret IMO. Hope to know more later in week." -- Tim Watts

We are overdue for a melt

Some of us have been saying for a while that it is obvious he is going elsewhere.

If we only add Evan Neal we'll still have a great OL class we can win championships with:
Neal - OT
Quick - OG, backup OT & OC
Dalcourt - OC
Bowles - OG, backup OT & OC
Kight - OT
Bama's staff loves all of these guys. And they're all early enrollees, which is important since OL is a developmental position.
I won't fret a bit if Webb doesn't choose Bama. We'll use that spot for another very talented recruit who wants to roll with the Tide.

Yeah, we already have a great OL class. I mean you don't ever want a top guy to leave state, but we should be ok along the OL.
As an aside, when do we ever get a player from Oxford? They've produced some high-level guys the last seven or eight years and we never get any of them.

I know everyone always says this but I could have sworn that Collins wasn't a guy anyone around here really wanted.
The other two hurt. Not much obviously, but it's not ideal.

None of these guys are game changers. Would Collins or Ross beat out the current guys. Even if you think they are both as good they are not any better IMO. Webb would be a nice add but not a must.
Game changers trend like missing out on a J Winston every year would begin to worry me but not these guys.

Could Mike Locksley leaving affect Alabama’s Maryland commits?
LINK
Mike Locksley leaving Alabama for Maryland isn’t expected to affect the status of at least two of the three Crimson Tide commits from St. Frances Academy in Baltimore.
The two Class of 2019 commits from St. Frances, four-star linebacker Shane Lee and four-star offensive lineman Darrian Dalcourt, are both expected to stick with their commitments to Alabama and sign with the Tide during the early signing period that begins Dec. 19.
“Mike leaving should not have an impact on our seniors committed to Alabama,” St. Frances coach Henry Russell said.
It’s unclear at this point whether Locksley leaving could have an impact on the younger St. Frances commit, 2020 five-star defensive end/outside linebacker Chris Braswell.
Braswell committed to Alabama Nov. 25.
“It’s too early to tell with him,” Russell said.
Even if all three stick with Alabama, Locksley being gone could make it tougher for the Tide to land players from that region, especially with Locksley now at Maryland.
In addition to the three St. Frances players, Alabama has also recently landed other players from that area such as former five-star recruit Eyabi Anoma, 2019 four-star safety commit DeMarcco Hellams and 2019 four-star running back commit Keilan Robinson.
“With Mike Locksley coming home, there will be no more free reign in the DMV (region)," Elijah Brooks, Hellams’ high school coach, told Inside MD Sports. “Coaches trust him, parents trust him, players trust him. Maryland football will never be the same.”

You’re right. I don’t know what the staff thought but I never read anything on here that made me think Alabama was even trying to get Collins.

I believe Collins was a backup option for us. We had a lot of guys ahead of him. No one cared when he chose Michigan.
