Teams attack weakness. As long as we show that is a weakness they will attack it.
If you have noticed the past two defense have done a good job of slowing down Tua's go-to passes.
People love making excuses, but this isn't just a knew thing.

Alabama offered one of the hottest prospects in the 2020 class on Saturday in 3-star wide receiver J.J. Evans. The Montevallo (Ala.) product got the news during an unofficial visit to Tuscaloosa for the Mississippi State game, one day after UA wide receivers coach Josh Gattis saw the in-state wideout play.

Kid isn't super fast, but damn is he a playmaker.
Kid makes plays.
Kid makes plays.

Trying to put your helmet on a QB's knee for the sole intent of causing him a major injury isn't attacking a weakness. It's being a piece of trash.

You guys can make this melodramatic all you want, but this isn't the first time and it won't be the last.
That nastiness is part of the game.
As long as Tua goes down like he's been shot every time he's touched expect team's to believe he is soft and try to "break" him.

“I’m not complaining about it. Football is football and it is what it is. We need to do a better job of protecting our quarterback, so people don’t get a chance to hit him.”
This. The OL got whipped after the first quarter.
Score after Q1 10-0. We got one TD off a fumbled punt and they should have scored except for the ref's.
Expect uga will look closely t this game.

About the same time Brown went out with an injury. Need him healthy. Saw an article that talked about MSU knowing the play before we ran it after the first couple of touchdowns. Curious as to how they knew. Predictable plays? Tipping the plays?

Probably Cotton tipping them off. Didn't happening until he got in.

Think that logic is just looking for someone to blame for a larger problem.
Cotton is a multi year starter, not a true freshman tipping plays based on his stance...

There is a massive gap between "let's go after him and keep hitting him" and "let's try to spear his knee with our helmets".

I don't disagree.
What I'm saying is this isn't new to football and has been a part of the game forever.
DC sees weakness and they attack it; some have less moral standings than others

I may be in the minority here, but I don't have a problem with how State was hitting him.
Tua should have gotten the ball out quicker.

I’m torn. I don’t like it (and wouldn’t like it if it was our team) but since it’s not technically illegal I kind of get it (especially when you can just use the excuse that you’re not allowed to hit high).

Any recruiting news from the weekend . Wished it had been a better atmosphere
Posted on 11/11/18 at 12:14 pm to Bear88
Couple of recruits in attendance:
Antoine Sampah -- “It was great, man. The atmosphere was crazy, like no other."
RJ Adams -- “It was electric. I had never seen nothing like it. Even going to Tennessee and other SEC schools, Bama stood out among all of them.”
I'll post more on Sampah in a little while. There should be more news later today and over the next couple days.

Five-star LB could see himself at Bama (BamaOnLine-VIP)
5-star ILB Antoine Sampah 6-2.5/220 VA hudl
Sampah visited Bama for his third time this weekend. Da’Shawn Hand, who Sampah looks up to, is from the same high school. Locksley and Lupoi are making Sampah a top priority. “I’m coming at them just as hard. I like the school a lot. I could see myself there. Bama is like no other. The stability, the coaches, the staff, you have so much support around you. I feel like I’d really thrive in that environment.”
