Hagan on Bill King this morning:

He would not play Jalen prior to Iron Bowl or SEC championship.

Said Smitty was around 70% at LSU.

Brown has juiced the OL since coming in.

We are 3rd for Thibs behind Oregon and USC.

Wandale Robinson out of Kentucky is going to be a player (makes sense why we wouldn’t have turned him away but see below about space/priorities).

We are in it for Ohio St. safety commit Battle BUT:

We are in a severe numbers crunch and will be turning away some players (or not pushing (like Wandale)) for some excellent players. “This is going to leave fans scratching their heads relative to a few prospects.”

Priorities with remaining spots are DL and Linebacker.

Having said that he still expects Sanders in this class (says RB Glass OV is kinda to push Sanders a little).

The one thing that surprised me a bit - he expects Bogle in this class.

Not related to us, but said the Barn may very well lose Pappoe to UT.

I'm curious. Why does it surprise you if Bogle is in the class? We want a pass rusher and Thibodeaux and Nolan Smith don't appear to be coming.

Bogle hasn't really been anything but a Miami lean up until recently, so guessing Hagan's expectation of him being in Bama's class can be a slightly surprising statement.

Especially before Bogle's OV to Bama...

Mainly just because I haven’t heard a lot about us and Bogle AND Hagan wasn’t being definitive on any other prospects besides him and Sanders. With all the other prospects that have been projected to us by others he remained noncommittal - said that shite’s about to become very fluid with the numbers crunch (he didn’t cuss though).

Me not having heard a lot of buzz with Bogle - with this class that really doesn’t mean shite though as so many commits have (appeared) to come out of the blue.

I said several pages back that I don’t think I could tell Bogle “wait” if he wanted to commit (in hopes of landing Thibs or Nolan) but Hagan made it sound like a nonissue (perhaps because he doesn’t think we land either).

The staff may also be higher on Bogle than I thought. I love Bogle but thought the staff may have other positions higher on the priority list with King and Harris being potential rush ends.

Ok. I see your point. Thanks for answering my question. Regards.

I'm hoping we keep Thompson but if we don't, who takes his spot?

I don't see Diggs unseating PS or SS at CB next year. Both of those guys will be among the best DB's Bama has.

The experience Shy has gotten this year is too valuable to waste so I think he sticks next season as well. (and he's played well)

That pretty much leaves safety so don't be surprised if Diggs replaces Thompson at safety. Diggs experience playing other positions is something Saban likes at safety.

Staff always held D.Brown in high regard, but his weight kept him off the field. I've heard the sky is the limit for him if he gets to his target weight.

I'd take Bogle in an instant. I agree there is no way you make him wait if he wants to commit.

Need Smitty back 100%.

Congrats to @KobeDean2 from @HornLakeFB He was named Mr Football for 6A in Mississippi. Dean has 134 tackles, 22 TFL, 6 sacks & 3 interceptions on the year.

Kid needs to lighten up. This is a big award, but I swear, as I scrolled down the picture I thought it was a mug shot and he'd fricked up somehow.

Diggs is better than SS. Diggs is the starter with PS if healthy and slides inside when in Nickle. SS is more likely to be a S. He is bigger and not as fluid as Diggs. IMO of course.

We got a CB for Marcus Banks from an Oklahoma mod.

I don't think Banks can commit though.

Yeah. Oklahoma mod Brandon Drumm = newb. Marcus Banks is more likely to end up at ATM or Texas, imo.

Thibodeaux has a new leader after every visit. He wants the pretty girl next door (USC), but she's seen him flirting with others so much that she's been playing the hard to get game on him. Just watch -- USC will host his last OV and show him lots of love, and then he'll sign with them.

ETA: Meyer will leave OSU, take 2019 off, then replace Helton at USC. Then we stomp USC in the 2020 season opener just like last time.

247 is releasing their updated rankings on Tuesday.

I expect Antonio Alfano to get his 5th star.
