The main Miami mod, Andrew Irvins, just conceded Evan Neal to Alabama.
Great news !! Maybe he and Sanders are both coming.

It looks like it was just announcing that they have signed a multi-year endorsement deal with Body Armor. FWIW.

Take Two: Can Alabama bring five-star Trey Sanders back in fold?
quote:
THE STORYLINE
Trey Sanders committed to Alabama early in his high school career but on New Year’s Day, the five-star running back from Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy backed off his pledge to the Crimson Tide and reopened his recruitment.
Sanders went through the spring and summer and into the fall open to all programs as Florida, Texas and Alabama remained under the most serious consideration. His brother, Umstead, transferred to play for the Gators and they had made significant progress in Sanders’ own recruitment.
Texas has absolutely piqued his interest and his relationship with position coach Stan Drayton continues to be important as Sanders works toward finalizing his decision.
And then there is Alabama. It’s rare for a prospect to de-commit from the Crimson Tide, even more rare for prospects to back off a pledge only to re-commit to the same school. But that seems to be the thinking when it comes to Sanders, who has backed up his top-end ranking through his senior season.
Will Sanders re-commit to Alabama when it’s time for him to make his decision or will the five-star head elsewhere?

TAKE ONE: Andrew Bone, BamaInsider.com
“Alabama is in great shape with Sanders. It’s very seldom you see players go back to the school where they decommitted from, but this looks like one of those rare occasions. He is expected to make a decision in the next month or so. He will attend the Iron Bowl as an official visitor. I think the weekend can seal the deal for the Crimson Tide.
"Texas is in the race more than people think. He really likes the Texas running backs coach, Stan Drayton.
"Alabama is in driver’s seat based on the conversation I had with him the other day.”

TAKE TWO: Mike Farrell, Rivals.com
“There was a lot of talk about Florida because his brother goes there, but the momentum is on Alabama’s side for a re-commitment. He was committed there once for a reason. He sees what he can do in that offense. They have a lot of talent there, but guys will be leaving early for the NFL after next year and Damien Harris is gone after this year. He sees an opportunity there to win a national championship and that’s probably the most important thing to him.”

I would be shocked if he signs with lsu but I dont know them personally.
I would be surprised but not shocked. Lia might see LSU as an opportunity to play earlier and not be in the shadow of his brother. I'm sure O is pitching LSU as the way for him to forge his own path. Kind of like Riley Ridley. Crazier things have happened in recruiting and I doubt Orgeron is dedicating all of this attention for no reason whatsoever. However, Orgeron is an idiot so it wouldn't shock me if is. Also, let's not kid ourselves in thinking that LSU fans (or any other fanbase) wouldn't be setting the bar just as high for Lia. He'll be dealing with his brother's shadow and expectations anywhere he goes.
That said, Lia was in the LSU section Saturday night and no doubt saw the thousands of LSU fans cheer that his brother was laying on the ground injured following a dirty hit. I can't speak for him or his family, but I can't imagine giving that school anymore consideration after witnessing that.

Hank on Jordan Battle -- "Stud. Can play any position in the secondary."
Hank on Byron Young -- "He had the most impressive frame we saw in Mississippi of the top DL in the state (Pickering, Handy, Moore). When he gets to Bama in the weight program and gets more developed, the sky is the limit for him. He's got the right mindset too."

One of my favorite recruits in the class

Yep saw that and figured it had something to do with the bowl game and him.
But it was great to get another fan base worked up. The sad part is now when he signs with us their narrative will be to spin it he wanted to go there but his family forced him to UA and the really delusional ones will say Saban threaten to bench Tua if little brother did not sign with us. Again LSU fans are the gift that keeps on giving.

I would be shocked. The Ridley situation was different. You have to figure Riley saw how poorly we showcased Calvin's skills while Jalen was under center and it appeared it would remain that way for a couple more years when Riley was being recruited. So between seeing Calvin's struggles in the Jalen offense and seeing the new, hot, up and coming team in Athens that appeared to be on the verge of unseating emperor Bama, Riley became a Bulldog. It's perfectly understandable looking back on it.
Now compare that to Lia's situation. Lia sees how we've unleashed the monster we've kept in chains on offense with all the skill position talent and sees how Tua is thriving. Even Saban seems content with the wide open play calling now that he sees it's lethality. LSU can't match our skill people nor our linemen on either side of the ball. Their OC is running the same pro set, run heavy, game manager style Les Miles did, only with less talent. Bama owns them and they'd better start looking over their shoulder at Aggie. Then there was the whole cheap shot on Tua scenario, which I wholeheartedly agree with you on.
Honestly, I'd be more worried if Lia was visiting Arkansas or A&M than LSU. Baton Rouge would be a colossal waste of his talents. And I think Tyson would fit in O's offense better than Lia would.

Riley Ridley was in the 16 class, before Hurts even played a game at Bama.
Calvin had a pretty huge freshman season in 15 with Coker throwing him the ball.
Calvin told Riley to go elsewhere. That is what I have heard.

So all the arse puckering about the big announcement from Poly Bowl concerning Lia and no one comes back and post it was a sponsership deal with a second rate sports drink?
Lot of wolves in sheeps clothing.
