Unfortunately, no, he isn't.

I'm not saying that meaning we may lose him, I think he has the talent to play a lot of minutes next year and being here for the Spring practice would have given him a leg up.

Based on a thread over on the LSU 247 site it appears the player they are talking about over on the LSURb as a potential commit this weekend is George Pickens.

Like I said they are delusional.

All that cloak and dagger hype about how this would destory Saban and how it would shake up our class and they are referring to an Auburn commit who may not get eligible and who probably wants to flip to Alabama.

Seriously, I will be mad if we don't destory these corndogs.

We need to eviscerate them on Saturday.

Darnell Wright: Alabama vs. Tennessee

Almost from day one, it has been the Volunteers and Crimson Tide facing off for Wright, the top-ranked offensive lineman in the Rivals100. Tennessee had the edge early then it swung toward Alabama and then back again. Now, everything is a bit up in the air. Wright has visited both schools multiple times, has strong relationships at each school, and isn't expected to make any big moves until later in this recruiting cycle.

I'm really on the bandwagon of taking Wright and Neal and letting Clay Webb enjoy his career at either Clemson or Georgia.

Making the Case: Four-star ATH Wandale Robinson

quote:

The Early Signing Period is rapidly approaching, leaving less than two months until most of the nation’s top prospects will sign their official letters-of-intent. With that in mind, several elite players have started to narrow down their lists and prepare for commitment announcements.

One of those players is four-star Kentucky athlete Wandale Robinson, who will announce his decision Thursday.

Today, experts from the Rivals.com network examine where the versatile prospect will land. The candidates are Kentucky, Alabama, Nebraska, Purdue and Ohio State.

THE SITUATION

Robinson burst onto the scene over the spring, going from a well-regarded three-star into a full-fledged national recruit. Offers rolled in from all over, and Robinson and his family did their due diligence, taking five official visits and also spending plenty of time at nearby Kentucky. The pressure is on for Robinson to stay close to home and bring his much-needed skills to the Wildcats, while the other four programs on his final list are pitching him on being the next big player in already impressive offenses.

With his decision imminent, where will he end up?

THE CASE FOR ALABAMA

“Robinson shined at Alabama’s camp in June when he earned an offer from Nick Saban. Numbers are very tight in Tuscaloosa with 21 commitments. Alabama also may only sign one or two receivers in this class. It has John Metchie on board and the Crimson Tide hope to flip George Pickens away from Auburn. Robinson is recruited more as an athlete by Alabama and hasn’t really settled in on which position he will play. Alabama would not turn down a commitment from Robinson, but he has probably been more of a priority target for other schools.” – Andrew Bone, BamaInsider.com

THE VERDICT

“He seems to be leaning toward Nebraska at this stage and I think he feels he’s a great fit for its offense and will be featured there.” – Mike Farrell, Rivals.com

The article has quotes from other analysts who follow his finalists, but I don't feel like posting all of that shite.

What 2 teams are trying to flip Alabama OL commit Amari Kight?

quote:

Thompson offensive lineman Amari Kight has been committed to Alabama for six months and has shown no signs of wavering on his commitment.

But that hasn't stopped other schools, including two from the SEC West, from trying to recruit him away from the Crimson Tide.

At today’s Under Armour All-America jersey presentation as his high school in Alabaster, Kight said Auburn and LSU continue to recruit him in hopes of flipping him before the early signing period begins in December.

Could one of them flip him?

“I don’t really think so, but there’s always a chance,” said Kight, ranked No. 8 on the A-List, AL.com’s ranking.

The 6-foot-6 1/2, 315-pound Kight was honored today as an Under Armour All-American, the second Alabama commit so honored in the last two days. Hewitt-Trussville's Pierce Quick had a similar ceremony Monday. The Under Armour staff honored Hoover senior and Auburn commit George Pickens last Friday.

Kight is also the second Thompson player to earn All-American status this year, following quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa getting his All-American Bowl jersey on Oct. 17. The Under Armour Game in played in Orlando, while Tagovailoa will play in the All-American Bowl in San Antonio.

"I think this is more of a testament to my coaches and my teammates," Kight said, referring to the Under Armour honor. "Being able to able to go against them each day and learn from them, it allowed me to just get better. I want to go down there and put on a good show and represent them."

Kight and his Thompson teammates completed one of the biggest comebacks in state history last week, rallying from a 28-0 deficit to beat Hewitt-Trussville 63-49 in a game broadcast nationally by ESPN2. The Warriors (8-1) play at Crestview (Fla.) on Thursday before heading into the playoffs.

"It was great to see how we responded to adversity like that and see how we came back and beat one of the best teams in the state," Kight said. "No one got down. No one was on each other. Just kept calm."

What did that teach him? "Don't count yourself out," he said.

The Alabama commit was also asked about No. 1-ranked Alabama's visit to LSU on Saturday night.

"I think it will be a really good game," Kight said. "Get to see how Alabama responds to a really good LSU team. I'll be interested to see how they do."

Pick? "I've got Alabama."

Score? “I don’t have a score.”

‘Not a me award’: Bama commit Pierce Quick looks to future as he gets All-American jersey

quote:

Pierce Quick is Hewitt-Trussville's first Under Armour All-American.

Quick, the 5-star Alabama commit and Hewitt-Trussville senior lineman, received his honorary Under Armour All-American jersey today during a ceremony at his high school in Trussville.

"This is not a me award," he said. "It's a team award."

Hewitt-Trussville coach Josh Floyd praised Quick's work ethic and leadership and said Quick's All-American status is "a great honor for our entire community."

"We're just super, super proud of him," Floyd said.

Talking to reporters after the ceremony, Quick looked to the future.

He said he isn't worried about the threat of injury in the All-American game, set for Jan. 3 in Orlando, and said the chance to play with and against some of the nation's elite players outweighed the injury risk.

Quick also said everything remains in place for him to graduate in December and enroll at Alabama in time for bowl practices.

Hewitt-Trussville (7-3) ended its regular season with last week’s 63-49 loss to Thompson and is looking forward to the playoffs, which start Nov. 8. The Huskies are idle this week.

"Everybody is 0-0 now," Quick said. "It doesn't matter what you've done so far or who you beat. It's a new season."

Quick was also asked to analyze this week’s LSU-Alabama game, a game he said he’ll “probably watch from the couch.”

“I think it will be a good test for Alabama,” he said. “But I don’t think anybody can beat Alabama this year, not with their quarterback and the team they’ve got.”

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have Webb.

However, I don't think he's a better player than either Wright or Neal, and he doesn't want to play the position he's best suited for, physically, at the next level.

Isn't it funny how we don't melt or attack these kids family or character of they want to go out of state?

Our vibe has always been do what you want no hard feelings. We will be okay.

Compare that to 7SU.

He doesn't want to, but if his options are being a backup guard or starting at center he will suddenly realize that he's always had a passion for snapping the ball. I don't really think it matters though. He comes across like he just wants to go out of state and is looking for reasons to go to UGA or Clemson.

Funny how they don't see any irony in the fact that they don't consider out-of-state kids who sign with LSU to be despicable traitors to their home states and schools.
