This isn't recruiting related and I'm sorry I keep posting about this. I brought it up yesterday so I figured I owe it to this guy to post the article. What a senseless crime. The killer deserves the electric chair.

Alabama fans, and for that matter college football recruiting followers in general, should get to know 2020 running back Rashawn McAlpine. The Saraland (Ala.) product has rushed for 1,375 yards and 14 touchdowns on 94 carries this season, helping the Spartans to a perfect 8-0 record thus far.
“You know, Rashawn has done a really good job,” Saraland head coach Jeff Kelly told BamaOnLine. “He’s put up some big numbers, especially early in the year. He’s been consistent, he’s run the ball really hard, he’s done what we’ve asked him to do. He’s worked really hard through the offseason to get ready. He’s been an explosive guy for us this year, he’s been a big-play guy for us and he’s done it against some good people.”
After battling injuries his sophomore season, McAlpine has entered 2018 ready to take the next step in his development.
“He runs with a physical nature about him,” Kelly said. “He breaks a lot of tackles. Usually the first guy has trouble getting him down. His vision, I think, is an attribute that allows him to see the cutback, gives him an opportunity to have some big plays there. What he can improve on, like everybody, is just continue to work and be consistent like he does. I think if he does that he’ll be fine.”
Alabama and Auburn, as well as others, have taken notice of the rising ball carrier. Kelly anticipates big things for the junior running back if he keeps it up. That shouldn’t be an issue, though, as McAlpine takes care of business on and off the field.
“He’s definitely on the radar of all those schools,” Kelly said. “Towards the end of the season, after the season, after the Early Signing Period, I could see him really being a guy that a lot of schools really evaluate and extend opportunities to. We’ll just see how it plays out.”
Saraland takes it undefeated record to Blount this upcoming Friday.

UA wants Crouch like most at LB where is projected better but he wants to play RB and Clemson offering that. He has said he does not care but he prefers RB and Dabo selling it to him. Kid reminds me of James Wilder a few years back that only wanted to play RB but was projected better at LB.
Devin White did the same thing. LSU said he could play RB

That's what I created the "general discussion" thread for. So Surge wouldn't hunt us all down, and kill us for messing up the cruiten thread.

quote:What a senseless death. A real shame. Kudos to his bravery. There is little to take from it other than noble men dying in a noble fashion doing what is right should be honored and remembered forever. A real legacy. Completely selfless. My thoughts are with his family. Sounded like a tremendous young man.
What a senseless crime. The killer deserves the electric chair.
My great grandfather opened a store in center point that still exists today (my uncle owns it now). That area has unfortunately had its challenges. A lot of change from when I was a kid working there in the summers.

quote:LSU fans are among the most easily depressed and fair-weather fans of all, especially when it comes to Alabama. If Bama takes control of the game - they will not only become quiet but will eventually begin to leave the stadium. They are desperate and looking for an excuse in advance. To have Alabama stand in their way and backhand them again is more than they can bear. The trepidation is causing some to come unhinged. They are just trying to cope. I empathize with them.
I'll be in Colombia Sc on for the game, but I bet if I listen hard enough I will hear Tiger fans cheering in the second half when White takes the field.

Video of Mack Wilson's hit
Video of Devin White's hit
Per the targeting rule, forcible contact to the head or neck area of a defenseless player with a hand or forearm is targeting (regardless of any other forms of targeting). The crown of White's helmet also hit Fitz's head and neck area. White also launched upward a little bit.
