How does an All-American, Opening Finalist , ranked high in the country not make it in MS/AL game. Everybody say SipBoys need to stay in the state but this how you treat them.

Nathan Pickering, come on down!!

ETA: My bad. Pickering is on the MS All-Stars roster. It appears Pickering was referring to De'Monte Russell.

I don’t think he is trolling. I think he is genuinely concerned and feels that way. Not saying he is correct but some posters seem to have catastrophe syndrome. JMO

LINK ]WATCH: Paul Tyson mid-season highlights
(BOL | embedded video)

quote:

Bama quarterback commit Paul Tyson is putting together quite the season for Hewitt-Trussville High School six games into the calendar. The 4-star signal caller has passed for 1,714 yards and 18 touchdowns to just one interception, guiding the Huskies to a 5-1 record.

Last weekend, Tyson became the all-time leading touchdown passer at Hewitt-Trussville (54) in a big win over Huffman. Last month, Tyson led the Huskies to a 56-28 win over Hoover, which marked the largest point total the Buccaneers have ever given up, according to the Alabama High School Football Historical Society.

Later this month, Tyson and the Huskies will square off with a fellow Alabama quarterback commit Taulia Tagovailoa and the Thompson Warriors in a primetime game that will be aired on ESPN2.

On the recruiting front, it's been all Alabama for the UA legacy. Since committing to the program last April, one of the first of a string of big commitments for the Tide throughout the spring and summer, Tyson has returned to campus several times for visits and has been active in recruiting others to join him, including two of his 2020 teammates that committed after in 2020 4-star receiver Dazalin Worsham and 2020 4-star cornerback Malachi Moore. Of course, Tyson has 5-star offensive tackle and Alabama commit Pierce Quick blocking for him as well.

At 6-foot-4.5, 215 pounds, Tyson is rated the No. 12 pro-style quarterback and the No. 328 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings.

He is expressing concern that the younger brother of our starting QB, whose family moved to Alabama all the way from Hawaii, will flip to a rival program because his brother, again...the starting QB, isn't playing enough in blowouts and isn't the only QB on the roster our coach speaks highly of. There is nothing genuine about that because no one is that stupid.

Anyone else remember when Tua was going to flip to LSU just because they offered him like a month before he was going to enroll at Bama.

LSU fans are so desperate for something good to happen they will believe anything.

I thought I read every post in this thread, missed that one somehow.

Sorry, it was a long arse post and the information you would have been looking for was buried in the middle.

Relative to the search function I did use Justin Eboigbe's full name but that's not something I usually do a great job of. I just couldn't think of an abbreviation.

Maybe Jebo.

secret visitor

I would be shocked if Lia flipped. However, I would be even more shocked if Tua's brother, a top HS QB, committed to Bama, who is Hawaiian, was able to pull off a "secret" visit to an LSU game.

If Lia can pull that off then he needs to give up football and go work for the FBI.

WATCH: Armoni Goodwin is the next great Alabama running back prospect.

quote:

Armoni Goodwin is well on his way to becoming one of the top 2021 running backs in the nation. An Alabama offer is not currently in the table, but it seems like it is only a matter of time before they come calling. Four of his teammates are committed to the Tide and one holds an Alabama offer. Checkout his latest performance.

Alabama could have a 5-Star finish to their 2019 recruiting class

quote:

ALABAMA RECRUITING UPDATE

The date is October. 5 and we are exactly 75 days away from the first day of the early signing period, which is Dec. 19.

The Crimson Tide currently has 21 commits in their 2019 recruiting class and has room to add more. The Tide are in a great position with some 5-Star recruits and could wrap up their 2019 recruiting class with a barrage of 5-Star guys. Nakobe Dean, Kayvon Thibodeaux, Trey Sanders, Clay Webb, Ishmael Sopsher, Darnell Wright, and Evan Neal all consider Alabama to be one of their top schools.

Nakobe Dean

Dean has been on the Tide’s radar since the summer of his sophomore year, which was before many considered him to be the No.1 linebacker in the nation. He has visited Tuscaloosa just as much, if not more than any other recruit. He took a visit this Summer and got a chance to take an in-depth look at the University of Alabama’s engineering program. He was impressed. The Tide have continuously stayed on Dean as they talk nearly every day and Nick Saban has expressed that he will have an opportunity to play early.

“He basically just told me how much they want me and need me,” Dean said. “He also told me how much of an impact I will make on the team and how I will have a chance to play early due to the low depth at linebacker.”

Dean currently has two official visits set to Auburn and LSU. He will most likely make his decision during the early signing period, so he can enroll early. The Tide are recruiting him hard and want him pretty bad. It is only a matter of time before we see what decision Dean makes.

Kayvon Thibodeaux

Thibodeaux took an official visit to Alabama a couple of weeks ago. That marked that third-time Thibodeaux has visited Tuscaloosa in the span of 4 months, which is huge for a California prospect. The California-native has remained high on Alabama and got to share a special moment with Nick Saban, which revealed he has a connection with the state of Alabama.

“I had a great time at Alabama,” Thibodeaux said via Twitter. “I just wanna give a special thanks to Coach Saban, he signed a picture of my great grandfather who passed away, he was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama and was a big #Bama fan. That made my grandmother so happy. So thanks again #RollTide .”

Thibodeaux is the No. 1 recruit in the nation and lines up at the defensive end position. Alabama has already pulled in an impressive defensive line group and Kayvon Thibodeaux’s commitment could be the icing on the cake.

Trey Sanders

Sanders is the No. 1 running back in the 2019 recruiting class. He was once committed to the Tide, but decided to de-commit and expressed that Alabama would still remain one of his top schools. He has visited Alabama a couple time since then and many feel Alabama is still the team to beat. His decision could be a December one, but might could come earlier than that.

Clay Webb

Webb is a name that many Alabama fans know due to him being arguably one of the the top offensive lineman in the nation and an Alabama-native. Webb is still showing that he is high on Alabama as he has visited twice this season already on his own family’s dollar. He has yet to take an official visit to Alabama this season, which will be paid for entirely by Alabama. He has talked about a December decision for quite some time now, so expect his decision then.

Ishmael Sopsher

Sopsher released a top 7 in July and Alabama was included. He lines up at the defensive tackle position. The Louisiana native’s decision will most likely come down to LSU and Alabama as so many other Louisiana products’ decisions have. The last time he visited Alabama was in April. Sopsher is taken the traditional route by signing during the second signing period in February, which means he will arrive at whatever school he chooses in the Summer.

Darnell Wright

Wright released a top 10 in July and Alabama was included. The last time the 5-star offensive tackle visited Alabama was also in July. He has taken other visits to different places. Most recently he visited Tennessee and Penn State for their matchup against Ohio State. His recruitment seems to be a battle between the Buckeyes, the Vols, and the Tide at the moment. He has not set a commitment date yet.

Neal is yet another Alabama 5-Star offensive line target. He will visit Alabama sometime later this Season. He has not announced a commitment date yet, but Alabama looks like they will remain in the mix to the end.
