I am riding it out here in Fayetteville- luckily I am in a rental house and I close on one at the end of the month so I did not have to do any prepping.

The original path had Fay as a direct hit but the flooding will be ugly down there. Hope you have a boat and stay safe

I'm in Greensboro nc. I feel a tad bit better since the winds weakened some and it looks like we will avoid a direct hit. I have a condo on the third floor and it's far enough from the beach to avoid the storm surge. The wind is all I'm worried about. Anyway guys roll tide. Hope I have power to watch the game Saturday

Depending on what happens my way and in the triangle(fingers crossed) Roll Tide Raleigh( hour away from Greensboro) will have a viewing party Saturday. Great little bar and rest. I will keep you updated because we will not know until Saturday I think at 2 the decision which will be based on power and flooding in the area. I will let you know if not I may be headed to Greensboro to find a bar to watch it.

Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons defensive end Khris Bogle continues to shuffle his visits. The Top100 recruit told InsideTheU and 247Sports on Thursday that he will no longer take a previously planned official visit to Ole Miss this upcoming weekend and see the Rebels take on Alabama. He instead might just visit nearby FAU with some of his high school teammates...

I'm okay with him instead of Dean. We still will have a monster class. Bogle will a good fit if we miss on KT
It would be sickening to lose Webb and Dean to UGA. Not sure what the political fallout would be, if any, other than UGA crowing.

In high school news, Taulia's high school opens it's new stadium tonight. (They opened a new high school this year)

What I didn't know about the school is that they also built an indoor practice facility, as well.

That's better than Georgia's indoor practice facility.

Alabama defensive line commitment Byron Young tells BamaOnLine he plans to officially visit LSU in early November when the Tigers host Alabama as well as Florida the first weekend of October when the Gators host LSU. This weekend, the 4-star defensive end plans to unofficially visit Ole Miss as the Rebels get set to host the Tide.

Alabama offers elite DL in 2021 class

quote:

247Sports released an initial Top100 Rankings for the 2021 class last month, which featured Katron Evans as the No. 2 defensive tackle and the No. 17 overall player in the country.

On Wednesday night, the Norfolk (Va.) Granby product received an offer from the Crimson Tide.

The 6-foot-4, 265-pound Evans adds the tender to a list that includes programs like Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Virginia Tech to name just a few.

The Hokies were the first program to extend an offer to Evans and currently hold the lone 247Sports Crystal Ball prediction.

Gorney's Takeaways: Five prospects that have impressed

quote:

It’s hard to believe, but the high school football season out West is already four weeks old. The regular season wraps up before Halloween this year. Here is a look at the five best players I’ve seen in person so far:

Note: I have yet to see Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei or Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco in person yet.

Kelee Ringo

The 2020 five-star defensive back had an interception when I saw Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro beat San Diego Helix in the Honor Bowl and that’s no surprise because Ringo is so skilled, so athletic and bouncy yet so balanced and he has such outstanding length and versatility. Ringo is just a special physical specimen who can play cornerback, safety or a position on offense - a coach’s dream. Ringo is originally from Washington, so the Huskies are involved, but so is USC, Oregon, Oklahoma, Ohio State and others.

Kayvon Thibodeaux

Thibodeaux is incredibly explosive off the edge and he did an excellent job of beating slower offensive tackles to pressure the quarterback and get into the backfield in Oaks Christian’s win over Eastside Catholic at the Honor Bowl. He’s not Jadeveon Clowney or Myles Garrett at the same stage - those two were special off the edge and were so fast it almost looked like they were offsides - but Thibodeaux has unique abilities as well. He needs to develop some more inside moves and play with a non-stop motor always but Thibodeaux was impressive and tough to deal with all game.
