Re: Sorrells, the whispers were Bama. That would be a surprise so it’s probably a lock.

ETA: Is Sorrells trending to any school in particular? Where has he been expected to land?

Before June, Oregon was thought to be the leader. South Carolina has received 8 CB predictions from June on.

I haven’t followed Football Recruitng as closely this year, but last time I came on here it appeared we were going to get a lot of 5-Stars and have a historic class. Since then UGA has passed us. We still on cue for a legendary class?

I must admit there are more African Americans on this board than I previously assumed when I was just hanging out and wasn't posting.

I think a lot of people would be suprised about the diversity on the board, though they probably shouldn't since the state of Alabama is one of the most diverse in the country.

I always find it funny that people care about that so much. If you wanted to be called European American or Caucasian, or Saving my pigment for later-American instead of white I don’t think anyone would care, I know I wouldn’t. I know many people who identify as Italian- American or Irish-American and no one seems to care. It is just an identifier but hey we all have our things we care about man. Take your stand where you must.

@Shaft-I don’t mind either one. Technically my skin color is not black but it doesn’t bother me as an identifier. Plus Black History Month flows better than African American History Month .

I love diversity. For example:

And I'd love to be younger, richer and taller.

I'm old school. I'm more used to hearing honkey, white boy, or in some cases cracker. But it's usually meant in fun so it doesn't bother me.

We get too hung up on labels. It's just a word. It has no power unless you give it.

Cue in YStar to come in and subtlely say that being younger, taller, and richer is not all cracked as others have made it to be. Not even for a dense, muscular Dolphins fan.

Ha ha. I kid... I kid

I don't care what people call me. If they want to call me white that's fine. If they want to call me black that's fine. My color or lack of color doesn't define me. I can't control how I was born, so I'd much rather be defined and judged by the things I can control.

I mean if everyone started calling you a gay Asian cowboy, you might find that pecuilar. Then one day you wake up wearing arse less chaps, watching Say Yes to the Dress, and speaking Mandarin Chinese wondering how you got there. Just saying

Myself. Just sayin' I'm not young enough, rich enough and tall enough to get lucky with a babe like Maria. I doubt there'll be another Mrs. Surge. I've spent enough time being married -- I'm high mileage enough. I'm pretty content being a lazy and crazy bachelor.

If someon called me a gay Asian cowboy, I'd love it. shite like that just makes me laugh. All of the rest is feasible except for the speaking Mandarin. I swear foreign languages are my kryptonite. I took one year of Spanish and two years of German. It sucked. Hell, my grandmother is German, she immigrated over after the war. I figured I'd be able to pick it up

It's funny, in the Marines we said light green and dark green and we still do o when we are together. makes for some interesting looks sometimes.
