Now, I admit that I really have no idea who we are after, but this seems rather odd and surprising. Not sure how many more guards we need, but with Webb, Neal, the WV guy still out there, and taking Kaho, it is a little troubling.

Did Kaho officially enroll?

With Dalcourt’s commitment we have re-taken the #1 spot in the 2019 Team Recruiting Rankings
I’m not sure how many OL spots we have left with Quick, Kight, Bowles and Dalcourt committed. I would assume Webb and 1 of Darnell Wright/Evan Neal to close out a phenomenal OL class.
Then we need to finish by stockpiling DL and ILB along with Trey Sanders and Dax Hill.
If you drop Cheney then we are back to 20 commits. The class size could be down to 27 with the addition of Kaho.
Final 7:
1. RB Trey Sanders
2. OL Clay Webb
3. OT Evan Neal or OT Darnell Wright
4. DT Ishmael Sopsher
5. NT Siaki Ika or DT Faatui Tuitele
6. ILB Nakobe Dean or ILB Henry To’oto’o
7. S Daxton Hill
Make room for Thibodeaux by grayshirting or blueshirting someone.

Darrian Dalcourt, 4* OG, Baltimore, MD
The way things have been going with the commits being unexpected guys, you just know this is gonna be the commit from this weekend. (I'm mostly joking.)
I was a little late in the timing, but bump^

Per Blair Angulo (247) Kaho was on standby to fly in today but flights were too overbooked for him to get a seat. He's now booked on a flight and set to arrive on campus Friday evening.

Saban's experiment of coverting offensive lineman and all purpose running backs to defensive lineman and inside linebackers is going to be fun to watch. Wandale Robinson you are on the clock.

I gotta say I'm a little surprised we took Dalcourt's commitment this early. He seemed like a guy willing to wait it out until at least December.

Yeah I'm surprised as well.
I thought if we took another guard it would be Kamar Bell.

Tua Tagovailoa named to Polynesian Player of the Year watch list
quote:
The Polynesian Football Hall of Fame announced its 2018 watch list for the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award on Thursday, and Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was among the 50 players from 34 different FBS schools named to the preseason list.
The Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award is annually presented to the most outstanding Polynesian player in college football that epitomizes great ability and integrity.
“The Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award has become one of the most prestigious awards in college football,” said Jesse Sapolu, Polynesian Football Hall of Fame chairman, co-founder and inductee, in a release. “This Award allows us to showcase the tremendous impact of our Polynesian student-athletes.”
As a true freshman in 2017, Tagovailoa was selected as the Offensive Most Valuable Player of the College Football Playoff National Championship Game after leading the Crimson Tide to its fifth championship in nine years in the second half and overtime against Georgia.
Tagovailoa finished 14-of-24 with three touchdowns and one interception in the title game and accumulated 166 passing yards to go with his 27 yards rushing on 12 attempts. He helped the Tide rally from a 13-0 halftime deficit to make it a 20-20 game at the end of regulation. As a freshman, Tagovailoa found wide receiver DeVonta Smith for a 41-yard touchdown strike on the final play of the game to help Alabama secure its NCAA-record 17th championship.
The Ewa Beach, Hawaii, native completed 63.6 percent of his passing attempts (49-of-77) with 11 touchdowns and two interceptions and totaled 636 yards through the air, Tagovailoa also added 27 rushing attempts for 133 yards and two touchdowns to his season totals. He finished first among quarterbacks in the SEC in passing efficiency (204.0) in limited action.
The winner of the 2018 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award will be announced Dec. 14. Five finalists will be unveiled Dec. 5. The presentation of the award will be held during the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week Celebration Dinner (at the Sheraton Waikiki) and will also be recognized at halftime of the Polynesian Bowl at Aloha Stadium.
The Watch List candidates have been selected based on past performance and future potential. Additions to the list may be made as the 2018-19 season progresses. The finalists and winner will be chosen by the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame selection committee, which includes Coaches Dick Tomey (Chairman), Ron McBride and Dick Vermeil, former NFL player and inaugural inductee Olin Kreutz, past NFLPA president and inaugural inductee Kevin Mawae, former NFL player and Class of 2015 inductee Ray Schoenke, ESPN sportscaster Neil Everett, NFL Network writer and commentator Steve Wyche and Honolulu sportscaster Robert Kekaula.
Former Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota was selected as the inaugural recipient of the award in 2014. Other winners include Notre Dame’s Ronnie Stanley (2015), Colorado’s Sefo Liufau (2016) and most recently, Washington State’s Hercules Mata'afa in 2017.

I'm surprised too. I almost added Dalcourt to the top targets list a week or two ago when Hank indicated he had a commitable offer. Obviously, I should've.
