Can’t we all just be friends? So much animosity.

Alright I’m hearing that Wright is thinking about going public. He’s long been silently committed but his coach has told him to hold off.
The staff is pushing hard and Wright told the staff he might after this weekend.

I heard some totally different stuff.

My nuggets:

I heard that Wandale Robinson really enjoyed his trip and all the personal attention he received really made him feel like a priority. He was confused as to why everyone was calling him Keilan and congratulating him on his commitment.

Darnell Wright was suppose to get the personal treatment as in previous visits but Bell, Ike, and Dalcourt showed their immense talent by keeping him away from Saban and the coaches the entire trip. Some say it is the best blocking performance they have ever seen by Bama prospects. Bell was heard whispering, "Go public and you'll wake up on 4 flats."

Christian Harris seemed really excited about possibly playing LB at Bama and spent a lot of time with Shane Lee and K. Mwikuta. He was overheard asking K. Mwikuta has he ever been to Zamunda or Wakunda. When King tried to explain his family is from LaGrange, Georgia Harris responded, "That sounds made up."

Quick, Worsham, Tyson, and Tualia had a long talk with Ashford about the 2017 7A playoffs behind the new nutrition facility. Ashford is not expected to sign with Alabama.

That is all I got, but to be fair I did make it all up.

LINK ]FSU solidifies status with CB Akeem Dent: 'This is home for me' (Noles247)

quote:

TALLAHASSEE -- There was uncertainty about where five-star cornerback Akeem Dent would end up on Saturday. Was the Florida State pledge going to land in Tallahassee for the Saturday Night Live event? Or was he going to explore Alabama -- considered the top program competing with FSU for Dent’s services -- at the program’s Champion’s Cookout?

Well, the Seminoles took a decisive step in knowing how solid they are with Dent. The nation’s No. 30 overall prospect and No. 2 overall cornerback made his way to FSU on Saturday, and coach Willie Taggart spent the first few minutes of the event with his arm around Dent on the field inside Doak Campbell Stadium.

“We talked about some good stuff,” a sheepish Dent told Noles247 and other outlets on Saturday, before adding that he didn’t want to give too much of the conversation away.

Dent said FSU “really wanted me to come” to the event. So did his mother, who was present and laughing during his interview. It was a family affair for Dent -- who goes by ‘Sauce Magic’ -- and his brother, as well. Adarius Dent is a walk-on receiver for the Seminoles and is referred to as ‘Sauce God’ by his younger brother.

The Sauce brothers -- “it’s a family thing,” Dent said -- like the idea of playing together in college, and keeping the family close is seemingly an important factor for Dent. “That’s a big part. That’s a part that could determine this whole [thing],” Dent said.

Alabama, USC and Michigan are the schools that Dent said he’s still listening to -- although Dent specified “I’m not sure about them though, I’ve just got to name a little something” -- and he could visit all three for official visits (along with FSU...he has not set a date for an official, but is leaning toward the Clemson game on Oct. 27).

Dent added that those schools would have to “offer a lot” to convince him to seriously contemplate leaving the state and moving away from his FSU commitment. He has previously taken unofficial visits to Alabama and USC.

Saturday’s trip to Tallahassee further reaffirmed Dent’s decision to pledge to FSU. “It’s always there. It’s FSU,” Dent said. “This is home for me.”

Our program is at a place we do not need to give away a roster spot(counter) for one player. K Allen was not worth nor are any of these guys.

1. Adarius Dent is a walk-on -- a non-counter.

2. Bama actually does “offer a lot to convince him to seriously contemplate leaving the state and moving away from his FSU commitment."

Akeem Dent's brother is a walk-on at FSU.
Trey Sanders' brother is a walk-on at UF.
Daxton Hill's brother plays at Oklahoma St.

Trey Sanders got another CB pick to Bama this morning -- from Gators247 mod Luke Stampini (Stats: 89.47% 17/19; Avg days correct 19).

Daxton Hill got another CB pick to Bama this morning -- from Irish Illustrated mod Tom Loy (Stats: 80.49% 99/123; Avg days correct 45).

Tyrique Stevenson would be a more than adequate fill in if we can swing it. Would be great to get that guy.

Why are we banging our head about Dent? I know we have a chance with him but I didn't think many were expecting him in this class. I thought Hill (followed by Cross and Pola-Gates at safety) was the priority and if Dent or Stevenson wants in they were takes but if not we use those spots elsewhere. CB isn't a priority now or am I wrong?

Stevenson is very good, but it appears Bama is trailing both Miami and UGA for him. Idk if we have much chance of getting him. We'll see.
