Another question here. How does Sanders compare to previous top rated backs like Najee and Damien, Fournette etc. Guys from previous years.

Is Paul Tyson really good enough to garner four stars?

Is Taulia legit and is he as mobile as his brother?

Christian Harris may fill that role as well. He has elite athleticism and he's bigger than Dean.

He's even good enough to play CB

Damn. First time I have even heard of Harris. I wonder what position the other schools want him for and which one he prefers to play. That is some serious speed for a guy that size.

So I joined 247 last night and after spending just one night lurking the database I have noticed a few things that stick out to me.

1. Every blue chip strong side DE is from the state of Mississippi this year. The state is gonna supply quite a few teams with potentially elite DL. I mean come on. Ridiculous.

2. Quarterback class looks weak.

3. The boogs are taking in some really good looking players on defense.

4. I wish the inside linebacker class looked as good as the OLB/WDE class does.

5. You guys definitely deserve a medal for the hard work in this thread. I never joined 247 before yesterday because I was satisfied with this thread even though I didn't post in it.

So I guess we are all in agreement that based on our needs Nakobe Dean is our top priority right now and probably has been for some time. There may be some better overall players left on the board that we would be thrilled to have but this class desperately needs that elite ILB that can come in and start immediately...

Valid observation, however...

Markail Benton says hello. Shane Lee does too.
And TideSaint pointed to Christian Harris above. Nakobe Dean, Lee and Harris are about ready now physically. Henry To'oto'o is another top ILB target and King Mwikuta might be a fit for ILB as well as OLB. I've seen posts on BOL saying Jalen Moody is doing well so far, but Ben Davis?

If we land Dean plus Harris or To'oto'o along with Lee, our 2019 ILB roster will be skrong. Also, we already have 2020 ILB commit Jackson Bratton and we're in on other great prospects. Several of them have potential to play both ILB and OLB:

Linebackers - 2020 Top Targets
4* ILB LINK ]Jackson Bratton 6-3/215 AL hudl
5* OLB Sav'ell Smalls 6-4/230 WA hudl
4* OLB Chris Braswell 6-3/211 MD hudl
4* LB Mekhail Sherman 6-3/234 DC hudl
4* OLB Reggie Grimes 6-5/213 TN hudl
5* LB Justin Flowe 6-2/225 CA hudl

Great point. I think Lee and Benton are going to be monsters. I don't see Moody ever cracking the starting lineup though....

Maybe not, but Moody appears to at least have pretty good potential as solid ILB depth.

Going to predict that Carson Beck has a meteoric rise up the rankings for the class of 2020.

Hank South has predicted that too. He says the staff is really high on Carson Beck -- his current ability and potential -- that he checks all of their boxes very well.

Heard Hank on one of my podcast when Beck committed say that Beck was the first commit that the entire staff had agreed on as their no.1 guy at his position.

Of course it was Beck that Hank got that nugget from but my brow raised none the less because I don't think I've ever heard that before about another player.

If he strikes out then the entire staff whiffed on him. Yeah, I'd say safe money is on him rising in the rankings.

That same podcast was from around the time Billingsley (spelling ?) Committed, at which time Hank said the kid had grown to around 6'6. TIFWIW

It's been mentioned, but wanted to back up the Moody statements. Heard he has impressed so far.

Nothing would make me happier than to see moody go first round one day well ahead of Walker or Peterson.

Talk about a good recruiting angle. "Bama, where three stars get drafted ahead of five stars."

LINK ]Elite 2020 WR 'highly considering' Alabama (BamaOnLine-VIP)

4* WR Jermaine Burton 6-1/193 IMG/GA hudl

Burton will attend his 2nd Champions Cookout this Friday; his 3rd Bama visit this summer. He talks like he is sold on the importance of how Bama's program is run, including the hard work. He said Lia was in his ear a lot at The Opening.

If he is a beast the analyst will just say he was another five star.

If Zachary Evans was in this class he'd be ranked ahead of Trey Sanders. He's got a shot at being number 1 overall next year imo. The kid is a special talent.

Trey Sanders is comparable to Damien Harris. Excels running, as a receiver and blocking. He's got everything Bama looks for in a great RB.

Yes. He has great upside Enos can work with. Good consistent accuracy on deep throws. He's too skinny though; needs to muscle up some. I see another Jake Coker in him.

Is Taulia legit and is he as mobile as his brother?

He's legit. Strong arm, quick reads and release, like Tua. Lia's deep ball accuracy may not be as consistent as Tua's yet, but it should catch up. He's not as much of big gain running threat, but moves well as needed in the pocket, can throw on the run and can get 1st downs with his legs.

I think it's a pretty safe bet that he's going to finish higher than he is now. His ranking ceiling or at least it's ETA) may be a little hampered by being limited over the summer with baseball but that doesn't really bother me.

And Bama is out in front for Evans early on.
