I could see Reichard getting a blue shirt if Bulovas kicks well this season, maybe even a grey shirt. It would space them out more allowing us to have potentially elite kickers for the next 6-7 years.

Hank South put out a list of five prospects who could commit next:

John Metchie
Jaleel Billingsley
Daxton Hill
Siaka Ika
Trey Sanders

He mentioned these four as notable omissions:

Faatui Tuitele
Noa Pola-Gates
Jeffery Carter
Kane Patterson

My preference would be Pickens or Jameson over Metchie. Also, I wish we would give the TE space to another position.

Besides that, all of that would be amazing.

Steve Wiltfong put out an article detailing recruiting scoop from the Opening. It's premium content so I'll summarize to the best of my poor XBox abilities.

Kayvon Thibodeaux - He believes Alabama has made the biggest impression to date in what may be a back and forth battle with Florida State.

Darnell Wright - He feels Alabama and Tennessee are still at the top.

Trey Sanders - He put in a CB to Alabama based on conversations with Trey himself and other people close to his recruitment.

Daxton Hill - Dax told him his best two visits were to Alabama and Michigan.

Trey Palmer - LSU.

Jameson Williams - He still likes Ohio State here, but keep an eye out for Alabama.

Siaka Ika - Alabama has the inside track.

Why? There would only be one underclassman in 2019 at TE if Alabama didn’t sign one in this class.

So Tuitele doesn't have the green light to commit?

I haven’t watched Metchie’s highlights. I’ve seen that he’s 6’0 runs a 4.55 and has a 30 inch vertical, nine of which are impressive for a WR. He does average nearly 19 yards a catch over the course of his career though. Not sure what to think on that one.

Sounds like he missed his opportunity and Ika may take his spot. I kinda like Ika better anyway. He is a space eater but doesn't move like it.

Oh, I didn't even realize that.

Well give me Pickens or Jameson over Metchie lol.

Apparently Bama really likes John Metchie. He's actually very good. I think they like that he's also a very good DB prospect. I think he's somewhat under the radar and pretty underrated. Kid gets open and gets yac. Elusive, tough, great hands and blocks well too. Versatile.

Jahleel Billingley's combine test results are impressive. Great upside and pretty underrated, imo. Bama really likes Jameson Williams and has shot a getting him, but I think he'll go to Ohio State. I think Bama will flip George Pickens. I think Devonta Lee will be in the class too and could end up on offense or defense.

We don't have the room for all of what your saying combined with our last targets.

It's either or.

Like I mentioned, maybe Bama blueshirts a couple of guys (who'd likely redshirt anyway) such as Robinson, Bowles, Tyson or Reichard. Reichard might even be a greyshirt candidate. Maybe they only land/take one more DB in Daxton Hill and take WR/DB Metchie and WR/S Lee. Maybe they only land/take one more DL in Sopsher.

I don't have VIP access, but I saw a headline where Ika was off to a dominant start at the Opening. Hopefully he finished it out well.

Sorry, buddy. But, I like our chances. Gus and his staff had better be recruiting another WR for his spot just in case.

Well AU is probably gonna land Jalen Curry later this month. He's nowhere near as good as Pickens but is a solid prospect

FWIW as of today I think Pickens sticks. He was recruiting like a madman for AU at The Opening. But I am curious to see how many Bama games he makes it to this fall. IF he starts popping up to T-Town a bunch in the coming weeks I will start to get nervous.

Thank god for Bo Nix or he probably would have decommitted awhile ago

Well, crap. Some of these kids can drive you crazy if you let yourself get emotionally caught up in recruiting. Pickens is recruiting for Auburn while putting himself on the market.
