Ok not going to lie I’m about to look into this.
The Bama staff is Uber confident in landing him but this might be something.
I think it's just a case of Kardell Thomas being gullible and being played by Taulia.

It's really this simple. If something happens with the QB situation (Tua not starting or something weird happens with that whole deal) and Tua leaves, Taulia isn't coming. Otherwise, he's coming to Bama.
Even if he WERE looking around (which he's not), why would he go to 7SU of all places? And incidentally, how many QBS does O want to have on their roster? Don't they already have like 7 guys expected to be on scholarship next year at QB?

I'm really not sure what he is. There sure are a lot of folks thinking he is an alter
I was trying to give him the benefit
I don't think he's an alter either. I was just giving him a hard time since he's easily rustled

Good luck to get us through the 4th

You mentioned something a couple pages back about not being able to take 28 because of Hatcher. You may be right. I'll have to ask. But the number they keep mentioning is 27-28. Maybe there's the thought that one of them could greyshirt? But if one of those isn't Tyson, I don't know who would.

LSU might be feeding kids that info. It makes them sound more legit if they say they have a top flight QB coming in.

Any more info on how taulia has been doing? Seems like he had some rough 7 on 7 performances

That’s what I’m thinking. I talked with my sources a couple days ago about Taulia and the feeling was still definitely bama. Like I said I’m going to look into this. Not to mention Taulia was sitting with Kardale at the opening ceremony.

It’s almost as if Tulia wasn’t quoted in an article recently saying how he’s going to play for Saban and he’s going to win a lot of championships. And it’s almost like his dad wasn’t quoted saying Tulia is in T-town every weekend and loves it so much he’d be there every day if he could be.
Not sure why the LSU commit is under that impression, but not exactly surprising some of their fans are getting themselves worked up with excitement over it. Setting themselves up for disappointment is an annual recruiting tradition for them.

I used to play. I'm well aware of that. Still call what is, what it is.

A page or two before that I partially explained our numbers situation in response to this question:
quote:
I’ve heard people say Bryant might pay his way? If need be. Is this true?
Here's a more thorough explanation:
I've only seen speculation that Tyson might not go on a FB scolly. If he doesn't, I think it could give us a way to use Jordan Davis' unused 2018 initial counter spot. Here's how:
In addition to the regular 25 initial counters and 85 total counters limits, as of 08/01/17 there's also a new 25 signees per academic year limit. If someone signs and doesn't qualify, you don't get back the signee spot he used. Early enrollees can be counted against any unused spots from the prior cycle.
Since Musika & Hatcher joined the 2018 class on scholarships, we now only have 26 signee spots for the 2019 cycle, counting the one unused we still have left from 2018. We have a 27th initial counter spot due to Jordan Davis not qualifying, but his signee spot is gone.
If Tyson pays his own way he'd technically be a walkon and non-counter against the signees limit and the 25 initial & 85 total counters limits. If he gets some kind of non-athletic scholarship, I don't think he'd count against the signees limit. But when he plays in his first game he'd then count against the annual 25 inital and 85 total counters limits. It appears that's a legit way within the rules that we'd be able to take a 27th player using the initial counter spot that Davis didn't use, since the non-athletic scholarship wouldn't use a signee spot.
Blueshirts (non-recruited only -- no off-campus face-to-face, no OV, no LOI) must be counted against the 85 limit, but can count against the next cycle's 25 initial counters limit. However, if they get a scholarship in the fall they count as signees for that academic year. So, the signees limit essentially eliminates fall enrollment blueshirting, because If there's no current-year initial counter spots for them, there won't be current-year signee spots either.
Greyshirts delay enrollment and therefore can be counted against the next academic year's 25 signees limit and 25 initial counters limit. But 2019 greyshirts will steal spots from the 2020 cycle and reduce the 2020 class size.
ETA: The NCAA Bylaws have to be studied carefully to understand them well. I have carefully studied the sections dealing with recruiting and scholarship numbers limits. I've also been keeping up with our numbers.

Someone commented on Kardell Thomas’ post about that unnamed QB theyre talking about, and he said “Tuas bro” as a guess. Kardell responded to it by saying “No
“
Yes he put the laughing emojis. Idk who else he could be talking about tho

What’s the guy being quoted saying? Bc if it’s that Taulia will end up elsewhere then it’s 100% false.
That's what he said. I was just offering my own opinion. I'd rather see him with Pruitt than wasting his potential under Ensminger's hand.

That's your fantasy.

I missed the conversation on Jordan Davis not making it. Grades or ACT score? Which JUCO is he going to? And is there a possibility for future consideration?
He seemed to be totally committed during the recruiting process. What a shame he couldn't pull it together to make the grades.
Given the level of recruiting going on now, I would assume he missed his window.

I thought he had another chance at the test in July but I could be mistaken . If so, I hate it for the kid . Seemed to really love Bama and never waivered.

Steve Wiltfong just CB'd Trey Sanders to Alabama.
Posted on 7/3/18 at 8:53 am to TideSaint
Wiltfong on Sanders:

quote:
One source told 247Sports that he wasn't sure why the five-star recruit ever decommitted from the Tide. He reopened the process on New Year's Day. Sanders returned to Tuscaloosa on June 1 and said this week he'll return for the barbecue at the end of July.
Another source told 247Sports that Sanders was a heavy lean to Alabama as well.
