I have to agree. If a school isn't even recruiting you and you still have them in your top 5 it means you really want to go to that school.

FYI: Most of the important content from Rivals and 247 premium recruiting articles is usually copied and pasted on VolNation. They mostly just skip general stuff that you can get from the recruit's basic profile page data. For example: VolNation copy/paste from Darnell Wright article (247 - Wilfong interviewed him at The Opening). It's surprising that they've been getting away with copying and pasting so much premium content for so long.

That's actually a good point. I hadn't considered it.

LINK ]Nation's top RB, Trey Sanders, looking at mid-season decision (247Sports-VIP)

5-star RB Trey Sanders will return to Titletown on July 28 for the Bama’s 2nd Champions Cookout. He plans to name his final 5 very soon and make a mid season decision after taking his 5 OVs.

ETA: Nice nugget I seent - Trey Sanders and UA RB Brian Robinson are very good friends. Before he went to IMG, Sanders considered moving to Ttown and being HS teammates with Robinson.

Sanders, Dean and Sopsher are the 3 I want the most. I’d add Webb to that list as well. If we could get those 4 studs and sprinkle in some other solid guys along with our current haul, we’re set.

I'm greedy. I want Bama to break the records for class-ranking score and number of 5-stars.

4* RB John Emery - John Emery realizes life is too short to go to Mississippi State, moves decision date to August to reflect.

I kid, I kid.

I just get this feeling Pickens flips to Alabama like Yeldon.

Not gonna lie that feeling is shared by many AU fans...

The big thing helping us right now is his relationship with Bo Nix. The two have grown real close. That & fact he has a long standing relationship with Gus & Chip. Also encouraging he's actively recruiting for AU right now but he will make us nervous all the way up to when he signs. Doesn't hurt either that his former teammate Shedrick Jackson is at AU too.

But seen this story plenty of times to know that holding onto him is gonna be tough. I am cheering hard for ya'll to land your other top WR targets

Also for anyone following 247's updates, ya'll been frustrated by the lack of diversity in nuggets? Feels like focus is mainly on like 3-4 guys. 247 loves them some Spencer Rattler

I think the only two big things we have going for us are that we only have one WR like him on the roster and our success with putting receivers in the NFL over the last decade has, while not quite on the level of Clemson, been significantly better than Auburn's. Otherwise y'all have everything going for you, and recruiting is often much more about personal relationships than anything else.

AU REALLY needs a big year in the passing game & for someone like Ryan Davis or Darius Slayton to get drafted cuz ya, comparing our WR production to ya'lls & CLEM aint pretty...

Yet somehow we are in the running for all these top WRs
