ok i fully admit to being absolutely nobody. but i am curious. i watched some film on stevenson and was totally impressed. does anuone know why he's a 4* rather than 5? the entire fim i was thinking he has to be a 5*.

247 has him rated as their #11 overall player, and only the top 10 are 5* right now.

247 only has 10 5 stars? They need to get on it. Usually there are 25-35.

Bogle camped at LSU late last week and then took a weekend visit to Bama for it's Champions Cookout event. He spent time with Tide recruits, commits and players, Kuligowski, Pannunzio and Saban. "That was my first time there. I really like it. I got to see the whole campus and the college town. They showed a lot of love. It's strictly business at Alabama... If you're going to go to Alabama it's to win and go to the NFL. That's every kids dream, so I'm just blessed to have that opportunity... Alabama and Oregon are for sure getting officials, but that's all I know right now."

I won't get into the stars/ranking cause I don't know anything about it, but from my perspective he looks like a corner that is a great fit for what Saban likes from his defensive backs. He is physical with receivers, has strong ball skills, he is great at pursuing ball carriers, and he is an excellent tackler. I like what he brings to the table.

There'll be a few new releases and some significant changes in players' ratings and rankings by NSD. They haven't even played their senior seasons yet, and then there'll be the all-star games too. There are several guys on our Top Targets board with pretty good potential to become 5-stars, including Amari Kight, Antonio Alfano, Demarvin Leal and Tyrique Stevenson.

When Cheney committed on April 5, he shut his recruitment down. Since then Dale, Alfano and Eboigbe have joined the DL class. I don't know why Cheney wasn't at the Champions Cookout. Other than that absence, I've seen nothing yet that hints Cheney might be having second thoughts about his commitment.
If Tuitele commits, the DL class will be even more stacked. So that might trigger him to start exploring other options where there wouldn't be as much tough competition for playing time. If Leal flips in addition to Tuitele committing, it seems like he'd be even more likely to do that. More Bama DL commits may also trigger other schools to go after Cheney.
