Agreed. Not only is he the best DL coach in the country, but he's also a really good recruiter. I think his track record is a big reason why (outside of DL being a huge need) multiple DL have jumped aboard before the start of the season.

I mean he's the #126 player in the country so his rating isn't THAT bad even for ya'll
But seriously this dude's a stud & paired with Kool he's gonna blossom

Man JE film is impressive. Can never have to many athletic big guys like him. Glad they took the commit. Can't sit around and wait on cats anymore. Get as many as you can to sign in the first signing period. Those who don't sign aren't really commits.

Oh my bad wasn't saying that because you are an AU guy. Just truly believe he just playing the game.

Yeah I know, but wasn't one of the heavily highlighted targets.
Kid is physical and fast. Definitely a QB rusher and I think his ratings will go up.
However for months these guys have been talking up other talents
Eboigbe is a great get, iyam. He can play. A few months ago when he first visited, he sounded very high on Bama. We had him solidly on our Top Targets list then. But later on, it appeared he was likely headed to UGA, so he fell off the list.

I sure wish that Webb would commit

10 spots left in this class.

I still think he ends up in Tuscaloosa, but a small part of me is starting to wonder if either Dabo or Kirby has gotten his hooks into Webb and we have a lot more work to do there than initially thought.

We need to get that bigger targets type of talk out of our vocabulary. shite bit us on the arse last year. Seems like some of you will learn. I mean if we had took a 2star player I'll agree but based on his film and size he should be a take no matter rankings.

Surge has been saying that we appear to be recruiting a lot of versatile prospects that are capable of playing either WR or DB. Metchie seems like another one like Hellams, Turnage and Devonta Lee that could do either.
Yep, I didn't realize how good of DB Metchie is until yesterday when I read a lot more about him. I had changed his position label to WR/DB on my copy our Top Targets list, but was waiting around on other potential changes to it before emailing it to Saint to update the 2nd post itt.

While we did slow-play recruits last year, the new hires are better at recruiting and bring more energy to the trail than some of the guys that are no longer here. We've seen multiple guys jump aboard at DL and LB, arguably our 2 biggest positions of need, and I think that's a credit to the new hires and Saban bringing them on staff. We also don't have a coach (Dunbar) that essentially cost us 2 quality prospects (Malik Langham and Coynis Miller) at a position of great need.
Also, Tuitele will likely be rolling with the Tide when he announces before the start of the season. And we're still likely to land at least 2 of Sopsher, Byrong Young, Pickering, and Leal.

Commitments gets me hype now I have to spend a chunk of my day watching film of our commits and potential commits lol

I just wish more people would look at it realistically. A group of recruits send their film to Bama, come to Bama for camps, play and practice in front of Bama coaches, and then the coaches decide what order to rank them.
For some reason the opinions of writers, who are not good enough talent evaluators to work for a major university in a support role, get placed above the opinions of coaches who are far more qualified.
Equate it to a different sport and it would seem ridiculous. Take nascar for example. Assume you took 5 drivers and 5 crew chiefs and let them look at and test 200 cars. They come back with a list of top 10 card. If ESPN posted a list of top ten cars based on what their writers thought over what the drivers and chiefs preferred, no one would be yelling for the drivers to pick ESPNs list.
I think the biggest issue is the fans do not get to see the schools board and don't know who is where.
Just a rambling rant.

Get out of here with that bullshite. Byron Young is rated lower than Eboigbe.
My point was that for the past months certain targets have been hyped as who we should be getting. When another one comes out of no where it means we have missed on one of the other guys. Even when the guy we got is ranked higher.
As I said in another post Eboigbe is physical and fast. He will be a great rushing threat and his rating will only go higher.
Get some perspective before you get on your soap box

Scott and Banks better get their shite together
Posted on 6/18/18 at 1:39 pm to Cobrasize
Banks can be ranked last every year if he turns Alabama’s place kicking woes around. But he’s a pretty solid recruiter in his own right.
