What's the word on parks? I know he is an outside guy but any news on him?

No intell, but I’m really hoping things work out well for him. Will always have a positive view of him regardless of on field production. Would be quite the recruiting pitch/story if he ends up a 1st/2nd round guy in a few years after greyshirting with numerous other P5 offers.

Yeah he will be a favorite of mine. Willing to sacrifice time because he wanted to come here so much.

Had an excellent Spring. Really impressed with his work ethic.

So what’s the word on the street for why Benton and Cowan may miss time? Grades? Drug tests?
Posted on 5/28/18 at 3:45 am to tider04
Drug tests. Neither are a done deal, yet, though. Have seen chatter that Benton may be fine. I'm still sort of unclear about him.

This is totally off the subject of cruitin', but since I saw a post having to do with Malzahn on the Rant, does anyone want to guess who the Barn brass had as their first choice had he gone to Arkansas?

I really want it to work out for Parks. Not at all surprised that he's busting his arse considering he wanted to be here so bad he grayshirted even though half the major programs in the country offered him.

No idea the real reason for leaving some of those guys out there so long.
It's a pet peeve of mine as well. Only thing I can think of is that CNS has an NFL mentality. Those guys usually play through the 3rd no matter what.

Yep. I think he'd be a handful there, personally.

D.J. Uigalelei -- One of the nation’s top prospects regardless of position in the 2020 class, Uigalelei would have walked away with MVP honors at the Los Angeles stop of the series if it weren’t for the performance of Hilinski. The five-star prospect has great size and impressive athleticism and is also a highly-regarded baseball prospect as well. With offers from major programs across the country, Uiagelelei will have his pick of schools when it comes time for him to make a decision.

Harrison Bailey -- Another impressive 2020 signal-caller, Bailey turned heads in less than ideal conditions at the Atlanta stop of the series for the second consecutive year. Despite windy and rainy weather, Bailey flashed his trademark arm strength and accuracy, especially on deep balls down the field. Tennessee, Alabama, Michigan and several others are heavily involved in Bailey’s recruitment.

LINK ]Alabama at BTW to See Dax Hill on Monday, Pokes Later This Week (247Sports, May 21)
quote:
TULSA -- As I walked in the gate at S.E. Williams Stadium on the Booker T. Washington campus in Tulsa and before the Hornets even started their final week of spring football practice there was Karl Scott, the new secondary coach at Alabama. You know who Scott was there to see the same guy that coaches from all over the country have paraded into Tulsa to see, Daxton Hill.
The five-star talent, who recently rocked the testing at The Opening Regional for North Texas at Euless Trinity High School, had all the offers he could count before that but his fame in the recruiting world has grown after clocking a 4.3 electronic 40-time and also adding a 41.5-foot powerball toss and a 43.6-inch vertical jump. He earned the fastest man award at the regional and Nike said they believe he is the fastest high school football player they have tested this year and in several years. Hill takes it all in stride.
Besides Alabama and Scott, Iowa State assistant Nathan Scheelhaase was there and then later Texas Tech linebacker coach Zac Spavital stopped in. Scheelhaase and Spavital admired Hill, but they were there to check out different prospects.
Hill has already shaved his list down to Oklahoma State, Ohio State, Alabama, Michigan, Clemson, and Oklahoma. I believe that the two OSUs and Alabama are the strongest possibilities.
Oklahoma State has been in several times and defensive coordinator for the Cowboys Jim Knowles is expected in later this week. Calip keeps welcoming coaches and Hill keeps seeing them stream through the halls of Washington High School and the sidelines of S.E.Williams Stadium.
"It is always good seeing coaches some up here and seeing what we are doing and checking up on me," Hill said of the steady visitation from the Division I coaches. "I always appreciate them coming up here and making their way here."

"Yes, some people get the luxury of doing that," Calip said with Washington's practice going on behind him. "It has been fun, but sometimes it is exhausting and I have a lot of great players out here that those guys (coaches) are watching. It is good to have that on your plate a lot of the time. Like I said, I'd rather be out there coaching those guys than kind of entertaining those guys."
This is the final week of spring football at Washington, but after the Memorial Day weekend the Hornets will be at a team camp competing on Wednesday, May 30 and Thursday, May 31 at Owasso. The competition will be stiff with Owasso, Jenks, Bentonville (Ark), Edmond Santa Fe, and Westmoore joining the Hornets.
A lot of highly-rated prospects like five-stars might balk at participating, but Hill goes hard in every practice and will go especially hard next week at the team camp in Owasso. He is humble, he is helpful to his teammates. Coach Calip says he is a dream to coach.
"He has never been complacent and he is very coachable and that is what I admire about him," Calip said of Hill. "You have to give him credit, he wants everybody to get better instead of being selfish. He is a good role model for the younger kids out here. He makes my job easier because sometimes you gets kids like that, with all those offers and attention, and they are not very coachable, but he is very coachable."
What he is not going to be is a quick recruiting conclusion. Hill told me he will take some visits this summer, but as of now, no indication on when he plans to make his decision and end the suspense for fans of all of his schools, but especially the fans at Oklahoma State. Get on and enjoy the ride.
