I've been a poster on VolNation for years. Yeah, I know it's a zoo and you've given me shite about it.

Any Vol fan that hasn't been permabanned from that board is a pussy.

I see tons of false bullshite posted by Bama haters and get lots of unprovoked insults. About 98% of the time I ignore all of that. After all, it is their forum.

Plus, ignoring it actually works out better. It rustles them even more that I couldn't care less about their shite talking or their opinions. And fairly often some of their own will call them out on it.

Fair point, but don't compare any team board on here to Volnation. That whole site is a haven for an army of orange montegs and Cobb_Dawgs

The only fan of a different team, that I've had a problem with, is the Miami fan.

If Tillman is ever allowed to post here, then I know the wheels have fallen off

Here is a good article from touchdown Alabama regarding 3 players. I've tried 4 times to copy and paste it but I keep locking up. Here's the freakin article

Don't worry about it. I doubt there's much chance of any of those three players ending up in Bama's 2019 recruiting class.

ETA: I'm not dissing those players, it's just that Bama will likely be turning away better players than them at their positions. For example, Bama might not be able to take Siaki Ika. It's not totally out the question though. Sometimes players are under the radar only to become highly sought as their senior season unfolds. Lucas might turn out to be like that.

Alabama already has a nose tackle commitment in the 2019 class in 4-star prospect DJ Dale, but SEC Country was told that Ika can commit to the Crimson Tide at any time. He’s a top target and one I would project in this class right now.

I don't know why my iPad keeps locking up every time I try to copy stuff. It's old as hell, so maybe that's it. Takes everything I have not to bash it into pieces

I honestly like how our board is open to giving fans of other teams a chance to bring something to the discussion.

The rest of the rant boards don't operate that way and I think it sets us apart in a way that both increases the value of discussion, and displays a certain reasonableness that is severely lacking everywhere else.

Yeah, Siaki Ika alone wasn't a good example for me to use. To clarify: Bama has 3 (maybe 4) DL spots left to fill and is in pretty good shape with Sopsher, Tuitele, Pickering, Ika, Young, Handy, Moore and Beaman. Leal and Eboigbe might be possibilities too. It seems reasonable that Bama can land 3-4 off that list. I doubt Bama would take Lucas over any of those guys.

Idk! I’m just not as confident in getting Sospher and Tuitele . I think 1 of the 2 and I don’t want to lose Ika . There’s so many DL this year. Lol some good players gonna be left out. Like RB quality is low this year. But DL is strong . If we get 2 of those 3 that would be awesome. And I know Ila is a True Dt , while the other two could play end also . Good position to be compared to last year.

A different take on the TN vs Ala debate:
Alabama's Mack Wilson tells Tennessee QB: 'You hate winning'

When Alabama linebacker Mack Wilson and potential Tennessee starting quarterback Jarrett Guarantano meet on the Third Saturday in October this season, their interaction may be anything but peaceful.
The two apparently don't share similar viewpoints when it comes to the NBA Playoffs ... and winning. During the second half of Sunday night's Western Conference Finals, Wilson tweeted directly at Guarantano, who was clearly growing bored with the Golden State Warriors hitting shots in a lopsided game against the Houston Rockets.
"I hate the Warriors," Guarantano tweeted, an opinion shared by many in the face of Steph Curry and Kevin Durant's superteam.

Wilson took the bait before retweeting Guarantano's thoughts with a snarky message, perhaps intended to play on Tennessee’s ineptitude in recent years which directly ties into Alabama’s national dominance.

"Then you hate winning," Wilson said.

Guarantano avoided a back and forth and decided not to respond to Wilson's tweet. Fifteen others did, including a Vols fan who gave Wilson the middle finger emoji and wrote, "Off our QB chump... You'll get your shot in October."

There's always been bad blood between the Crimson Tide and Vols, but one of the SEC's most storied rivalries has been one-sided for decades, with Alabama winning the last 11 games after Tennessee had claimed nine of the previous 11.

What will it take for this series to become more competitive? For starters, Jeremy Pruitt's Vols can't fall behind by multiple touchdowns early, something that's happened each of the past two seasons. Alabama has outscored Tennessee, 42-7, in the first half over its last two wins in the series, making for a yawn fest for viewers after intermission.

This has been an impressive offseason for Wilson, who has added noticeable muscle and emerged as a leader on Alabama's new-look defense under Josh Tupoi following Pruitt's exit to Knoxville. Wilson finished with 40 tackles and four interceptions in 11 games last season, but saved his most memorable performances against Clemson and Georgia in the College Football Playoff semifinal.

The Montgomery, Alabama native returned an interception for an 18-yard score against the Tigers and followed that up with a career-best 12 stops vs. Georgia in the national championship game. Wilson and Dylan Moses are two players Nick Saban is counting on this season to replace the production, and most importantly leadership, following the exit of Rashaan Evans and Shaun Dion-Hamilton.

Any names on the Florida DB's? I'm assuming we are trying to flip Dent and recruiting Stevenson. But it also seems we are in good shape elsewhere and a lot of the Florida DBs are on the shorter side of what Saban likes.

At first I couldn't recall a couple of the FL DB names I'd seen, but I've got them now:
4* Ath Mark-Antony Richards 6-1/194 (FL) hudl
4* CB Kaiir Elam 6-1/182 (FL) hudl
Richards is a RB, WR & DB. Elam not offered yet. Pannunzio has been seeing them among others.

Miami Southridge's Tyrique Stevenson can play basically every position in the secondary. Miami however views him as a safety that can make an impact right away. He's another prospect that has visited Coral Gables multiple times this spring and has said all the right things about the Hurricanes. Florida, Auburn, Georgia and Alabama look to be UM's biggest competition with a decision not expected to come for a while.

Wellington Top100 athlete Mark-Antony Richards is the younger brother of Miami star wideout Ahmmon Richards. He is being recruited by a number of schools to play various positions, but the Canes think that he might an elite DB at the next level. UM currently leads on the 247Sports Crystal Ball, but a number of SEC schools are pushing, including Auburn and Florida.

Miami signed two elite tight ends this past cycle in Will Mallory and Brevin Jordan, but Todd Hartley wants to keep stockpiling talent at the position. That's why Lakeland Top247 TE Keon Zipperer has emerged as a priority. He's set to visit UM this upcoming weekend instead of visiting UF for the Gators big BBQ. Alabama and Clemson are also involved, but this seems to be a Mark Richt-Dan Mullen battle.

I sat where they always tend to put visitors, way the hell up in the end zone!! My seat improved though at the start of the 3rd quarter though. As all of the Vile fans filed out, the wife and I went in to the lower bowl by our band so we could sing RAMMER JAMMER!!!

I was thinking last night about how sick I am of seeing Golden State. I guess that’s the way the rest of the world feels about Bama.

5 star LB Brandon Smith out of Virginia committed to Penn State. Was there ever any interest from either side during his recruitment?

LINK ]When the rest of Alabama's Class of 2018 signees plan to arrive (BamaOnLine-VIP)

All 2018 Signing Class members who did not enroll early are expected to arrive by May 28, except for two with arrival dates stated as TBD: "Josh Jobe is still ironing out academics. It could be July before he arrives on campus." No details were given about Tevita Musika's expected arrival. Grad transfer PWO kicker Austin Jones was not mentioned.

ETA: I asked Hank if Jordan Davis' May arrival means he has qualified academically and about the expected arrivals for Musika and Jones. Hank: "Sounds like everything is good to go. Davis says he's moving in on the 27th. Musika wasn't sure yet. Most guys are moving in on the 27th, so I think that's a fair estimate. Jones probably will do the same."

ETA: Jobe should know very soon whether he'll need to re-take any early summer make-up classes or not. His HS coach seemed pretty optimisitic.
