Of course Bone tweeted that he knew this was coming and it was expected. Geez.

4 DBs is the number I've consistently heard.

It was. Pruitt and Ansley were the reason he committed in the first place and he made that pretty clear. I'm surprised it took him this long. Seems like he wanted to give the new staff a chance at least.

Turnage might not stick with his commitment to Bama, but I believe everyone else currently commited will sign with the Tide.
You can never tell with those Mississippi kids.

McCollough

Turnage
Is Turnage being recruited as a Safety or Receiver?

CB/S for Turnage. Not 100 percent certain that McCullough has a committable offer. Daxton Hill is #1 on the board at safety. They like Pola-Gates and Isaiah Rutherford a lot.

I think the staff wants McCollough to camp at UA this summer to get a green light. I heard they like S Jalyn Phillips too, but like S Daxton Hill, S/CB Noa Pola-Gates and CB Isaiah Rutherford more.
Note: Hill's brother Justice is a star RB at Okl St.

Daxton Hill (6’1, 190) of Tulsa, OK is on an unofficial visit to Alabama for their spring game this weekend. He did not come to OU’s spring game and has not been to any of the big-time events at OU recently, but he does talk to OU every week and has an interest in OU.
When it comes to Hill, no matter if they have four DBs or not, they would probably take him in the end because of his overall talent. But OU is obviously moving forward in their recruiting because Hill is so much up in the air as to what he is going to do.

Daxton hill is almost a 5 star... We don't have cb's for him. Any shot here

He just visited. Had a great visit. We'll see.

All in all I’m very happy with our current haul. Love the addition of Lia and the tough, smart, athletic tackle out of Ky.
After a small (by our entitled standards) dip last year, this staff has me completely confident/comfortable relative to recruiting (I’m only waiting now to see how they coach).
I think it was a great weekend, but (at least for public commitments) we probably had higher expectations than we should have (like my wife on our wedding night).

Alabama received more positive recruiting news on Sunday night as Antonio Alfano released a top three of Alabama, Georgia, and Penn State.
Antonio Alfano @Antonioalfano99
MY TOP 3 (Alphabetical Order)... I will be committing no later than August 1st!!

The four-star defensive end from Colonia (N.J.), one of the most athletically-gifted big men in the class, was on campus in Tuscaloosa last weekend.
“It was awesome,” Alfano told BamaOnLine of the visit. “I had a great time. You know, the coaches really want me down there. They really want me to come down and play. They think I can play early as a freshman. I got to spend time with the players. I kind of got a feel about how they acted around each other and the brotherhood they have with each other. It was good.”
One of the biggest questions Alfano had on his return visit (he camped last June when he picked up an offer) was about head coach Nick Saban’s time remaining with the program.
“I had a couple questions for him that I wanted a straight answer,” Alfano said. “I wanted to know if he was leaving or not and he said straight up, ‘I’m not going anywhere.’ He’s staying. (We talked about) Again how they want me there and how I can make an impact to the team.”
At 6-foot-4, 275 pounds, Alfano is rated the No. 5 strong-side defensive end and the No. 58 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.
At the Nike Opening Regional in New Jersey a few weeks ago, Alfano posted a Nike rating of 124.80, running a 4.82-second 40-yard dash, jumping a 36.6-inch vertical, throwing a 46-foot power ball, and positing a 4.27-second shuttle.
As he states in his Tweet, Alfano plans to announce no later than Aug. 1. I’m told we could hear an announcement any time between May 1 and then.

Have to figure it will either be us or Penn State.

I don’t understand it! Why isn’t defending National Champion UCF making more of these guys top 3?

I agree. Even though distance favors PSU, I like our chances. I also think he'll announce sooner rather than later.

ROSWELL, Ga. — Clay Webb‘s tour of domination across the camp circuit continues.
On Sunday, Webb — a 5-star offensive lineman from Oxford, Ala. — won the Big Man Challenge at the Under Armour Camp Series stop at Roswell High School. Webb already earned an invite to The Opening finals with a superb performance at the Atlanta regional a month ago.
Webb continues to be thorough with his recruitment, as he’s hesitant to even name a top group of schools. He’s said before he’s prepared to wait until after his senior season to make a college decision.

At 6-foot-3, 297 pounds, Webb is a prototypical interior lineman that could play either guard or center. He excels with his strength and positioning, and has some of the best hand placement for a high school lineman in recent memory.
See why Webb is earning accolades across the nation in this video feature.
