NSD Preview: Five Florida players shrouded in uncertainty
quote:
With National Signing Day less than a week away and many of the state’s top prospects already inked to letters of intent, the drama in Florida will be dialed back a bit. That’s not to say the coming days will be void of twists and turns, however.
Today, Rivals.com has a look at some of the more intriguing prospect-driven storylines that will unfold in the Sunshine State in the final days of the 2019 recruiting cycle. Florida wouldn’t be Florida without things getting a little weird, after all.

Khris Bogle
Status: Committed to Alabama
Involved schools: Miami, Florida, Alabama,
Bogle is committed to Alabama and may well sign with the Crimson Tide without much fanfare come signing day.
Of course another, more drama-filled possibility also exists. The four-star defensive end has visited a number of schools, including Miami, which most feel is the biggest threat to flip his commitment. Florida has also been hard at work to change Bogle’s mind in recent weeks, but the four-star is expected on UM's campus this weekend. There could be some drama left here and that possibility seems to grow with each passing day.
UM led Bogle’s recruitment for years and isn’t likely to lay down and quit in the coming days. Does new coach Manny Diaz have his work cut out for him? Sure, but flipping Bogle would send a message about the type of recruiter he could be as a head coach.

Jaquaze Sorrells
Status: Uncommitted
Involved schools: South Carolina, Oregon, Penn State
Barring something unforeseen, Sorrells will land at South Carolina. That said, National Signing Day specializes in the unexpected. One of the top uncommitted prospects in the state, Sorrells is set to visit Alabama over the weekend, so the Gamecocks’ coaching staff can’t be completely comfortable with how things are unfolding.
Oregon and Penn State also remain involved with Sorrells to some extent, but neither seems like that much of a threat at this juncture. What takes place in Tuscaloosa this weekend is the bigger concern for Will Muschamp.

Quashon Fuller
Status: Committed to Florida State
Involved schools: Florida State, Alabama
In a classic Florida-prospect move, Fuller is committed to Florida State but recently released a top three of FSU, Alabama and Florida. Fuller isn’t likely to choose UF, so the real race here is between the Tide and Seminoles.
Alabama has players such as Ishmael Sopsher and Byron Young also on their defensive line recruiting board, so its interest in Fuller is a bit conditional. FSU is the smart pick to hang on and sign Fuller, but things could get dicey if the Rivals250 prospect becomes a high priority for Nick Saban in the coming days. Even if Bama turns its attention to Fuller in the final days of the cycle, it could be too little too late. Fuller’s relationship with Willie Taggart and his staff is a strong one, after all.

I would love for Nick to land the Ealy if he has a scholly to roll the dice on. The kid looks like a playa no doubt.

We need to lock up Sorrells or Fuller imo. Either would make me happy.

Ealey could make things interesting for Sanders and his goal of Heisman finalist as a freshman.

Never had him lol. Shouldve took Ika if we wanted a big guy. If we are going to take an out of shape interior guy at least take one thats fiesty and doesnt mind mixing it up in the trenches. Not one thats on his cellphone during the game.

We might have taken Ika if he hadn’t ballooned to almost 400 lbs his senior year. He’s in worse shape than Sopsher and that’s saying something. I’d be happy to add Sorrels or Fuller to go along with Young. Which of those guys is more of an interior guy?

Also, is there any real chance we get Ealy? Could that be why Robinson is taking an OV to USC?
Posted on 2/1/19 at 3:19 pm to tider04
I see both bing interior pass.rushers and nothing else.

Would be nice for Ealy to choose Alabama and show up. Alabama baseball could get him in the spring. But I doubt that happens.

It is starting to feel like it was around here right before the early signing period. How soon before we lose Bogle, Robinson, Young and To'oto'o to UGA.

Every time I see the name Sopsher, I automatically say Slopster in my head.
I wish that I would stop. I'm tired of doing it.
