Thank all of you for your kind words. We're all in shock in right now. I can't describe it.

I understand this completely. It's like being in a fog and your unable to really process things. You can't even mourn yet. It's horrible. I feel really bad that you and panther's families are going through this

The same thoughts and prayers to you and your family Panthers. There is never a good time to lose a family member; but, on a traditional family closeness occassion just makes it that much worse. Peace with you, brah

Man would hate to see Grimes stay in state and sign with 10rc. The connection between Pruitt and Grimes' dad may be hard to overcome (if there is a tight bond) and then to complicate it with the normal pressures of "stay at home, and play with your buds; it will be so much easier for your friends and family to go to all the home games, etc, etc,"... hope the prospect of playing for the same team as Dad, and maybe playing "better" for that team will win out and bring this guy to the right decision and forsake those god awful colors and that stupid song to wear the Crimson White and relish "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Dixieland Delight" Roll Tide Roll

Who was the last big time legacy player we pulled besides Ben Davis. I could be wrong but it seems as if a lot of them come from Tennessee.

That was a quick slap in the face... What happened with Ben Davis... we will probably never know for real. Figure he would transfer at the end of this year (seems Boz has confirmed and said that Ben has told the coaches he will not be back).
Both Baumhower and Barker have sons on the team (both PWO's) not sure they would be in the category of Davis or Grimes. Will have to think on the answer to this, shaking my head over Davis so hard I have a headache now.
Currently - Cortez Andrews (247-3*, Rivals - 3* 2019 offers Alabama, UGA, UF, Aubarn, East Carolina)- His father Carlos Andrews played football at Alabama from 2001-2004. His uncle Del Roberts played football at North Carolina. Dennis Andrews Sr., another uncle, played football at FSU. His son Dennis Andrews Jr. played at Georgia Tech but has since transferred to Middle Tennessee.
Kevin Turner's son (2018) out of Bham is playing for Dabo,
Cornelius Bennett's son(2017 out of Ft Lauderdale) playing for Tenn.
Sure there are many more that are escaping me at the moment
The son of former Alabama kicker Chad Acton, Nash Acton (Meridian, Ms)2019 currently ranked No. 4 in the nation and No. 1 in Mississippi in average yards per punt on MaxPreps.com. Acton punted 49 times this past season for 2,394 yards, an average of 48.9 yards per punt. When he wasn’t kicking, Nash Acton would also line up at receiver or occasionally take snaps at quarterback for the Wildcats, depending on the situation. Seems to be looking for a PWO spot.

Yeah Pruitt seems to be recruiting pretty good up there. Hopefully the Tide will win for Grimes

Edit: Hank said "we were told" Robinson hasn't signed, but noted that could be to keep it secret. He said a teammate did sign secretly and that he'll talk to Keilan at Under Armor practices this weekend. He'll also see To'oto'o there and he confirmed that To'oto'o plans to announce his decision January 19th at the Polynesian Bowl.

That is huge for To'oto'o! That means he is unlikely to have any more visits lined up and a possibility he signed during the Early Period. I think that is really good news for us.

I think the kid from his high school who committed to Michigan likely signed in secret and I'm hoping Kelian did the same.

Young has me nervous cause he is doing his last two weekends before the Feb 6th signing day with Ole Miss and Mississippi State. Let's hope the Mississippi grip doesn't take hold .

I find the whole Christian Williams situation odd. For some reason I think his recruitment has a few twist and turns before it is over.

I hope you're right about Robinson and To'oto'o. To'oto'o UVd UT & UA on one trip last summer and has said he plans to visit both in Jan. The dead period lasts through Jan 10, so it's possible he could do that again the weekend of Jan 11-13 before Poly Bowl practice. But it's also possible he's already decided or even secretly signed.

Bogle announces on Jan 5, so maybe he secretly signed with Bama in order to secure a spot.

Young is supposed to visit Bama again too before NSD.

Reading the tea leaves, it appears to me Bama's staff wants to finish the 2019 class with

Robinson
Young
Sopsher
To'oto'o
Bogle
1 of Banks, Pola-Gates or Williams

I think Pickering is being pursued in case we miss on Young (possible miss) or Sopsher (unlikely we miss on him).

Edit: A 5th DB might be the lowest of the above priorities and seems to be the least clear. DJ James, or maybe even Dax Hill (high priority) if Harbaugh leaves UM, could also be in the mix.

Thank you to everyone. It's never easy to deal with diabetes and knowing that it can take anyone's life... it is heartbreaking. I wouldn't want to wish that on anyone. I enjoy this thread and thanks to everyone who made this thread possible. May God bless all of you.
