Yeah I’m not trying to add any unnecessary drama but these guys seriously have a tough time dealing with not playing early. Didn’t a couple of our star guys almost transfer after their freshman seasons? Hopefully anoma sticks it out because he has great talent and his motor is incredible.

I mean the dude is more talented than Jennings and Miller and is probably equal to Lewis. But to start over those 2 immediately as a frosh is just not likely for anyone. He got the 2nd most PT in his class to Surtain on defense. Should be a starter next year with Lewis if Jennings leaves

You come in as a 5 star, you feel like you have proven yourself worthy of playing time and if you don't get it you start to question why you are here. Saban has talked about it many times that expectation management is one of the hardest things for coaches and first year players during that transition.

Yeah I think the fact that guys like Waddle and surtain immediately contribute makes them question things. Obviously it’s not similar situations on the depth chart but it can discourage some.

I'm not downing our guys but I did not see that this season. Never really saw him flash in his limited playing time. That doesn't mean the talent isn't there or that he won't grow into that. Just saying I didn't see that this year.

I think the tweet on its own is favorable. It’s just the combination of that and him missing practice that made me ask if there were any rumors. That’s all.

I think you misunderstood my post. I'm saying he looked the part but didn't really show much in terms of actual play on the field.

He definitely looked athletic and was in the backfield when he played. I think the issue is people want to see him just running past the offensive lineman and thats just not how we play on all downs.

Just got a couple of horse collars and had a late hit. You won't see the field as a freshman very much if you are committing 15 yard penalties.
