all this coming out about durkin is actually good timing in my opinion. shows parents and kids, saban didnt wait until after signing day to spring durkin on them. that he's willing to help the guy even at crunch time, just like he would their kid.
honestly, durkin may be giving locks the heads up about maryland and what to expect. plus helping with our two upcoming opponents.

I’m shocked still Mullen let him out of his back door. Really had to be some money changing on that one. It got ugly.. I was excited when we got J.Johns from Brookhaven. Still can’t figure out how he didn’t keep it together. Kid was a hell of a talent.. maybe since he played QB.. running back wasn’t as easy to pick up for him?? But he turned out to be a mess. I remember there was a running back back in early 2000’s from Brookhaven Arron Yarbrough he was a beast too.. but couldn’t get the grades

I hate it too. Coach Saban seems to not care what the media says, but as a mother, I would not want my son around Durkin. This may indeed hurt recruiting & I don't understand why Saban didn't think about this.
If Saban wants to rehabilitate coaches, fine. But there should be a point where some are a little too toxic especially since this just recently happened.
I agree. However, Saban hasn't hired Durkin and might not even be considering it. Like I've said, maybe Durkin was brought in to help Locks get up to speed on Maryland's program, staff, players, etc. to reduce the time Locks has to spend on that stuff while he's coaching at Bama. A lot of fretting going on about something that might be nothing.

We don’t really have time to explain things to a recruit who is about to announce.. but each to his own. I would be concerned if it was my kid. Just seems like not a very risky move.. and seems all the media agrees. No reason to fake punt this close to the end..lol
Lol. The staff can quickly and easily talk to ALL of our recruits and their parents about Durkin. They're talking with them very frequently.

It's crazy that only a few hundred dip shits on twitter can cause a story to gain so much traction these days. frick DJ Durkin. Nick Saban ain't hiring him and this is a non issue.

Well, for one Mullen was the OC at Florida when Jimmy Johns signed in the 2005 class.

The media is having a field day with this. Bama is national news & every thing will be reported and analyzed.

Durkins hire
You guys keep saying this, but we did NOT hire Durkin. He is NOT on staff. According to the guy who originally broke the story, he is a volunteer.

Don’t sleep on Eboigbe either . Dude is legit . Just saw a twitter post by him saying no need to talk to coaches or visits he knows where he is signing. All Bama

We were taking about AJ Brown.. he’s from Starkville. He said Mullen didn’t even visit him once at school or contact him.. which would be crazy if true. 5 min drive.
