Georgia beat Bama out for their top RB recruit last year, White.
Sanders would be the 2nd year in a row Georgia has beaten Bama out for their top RB recruit if he goes to Georgia.

Just me reading stuff into posts on here:
Sanders decommitted once. Why? There is or was something he wasn’t quite comfortable with at Bama. Has that changed? As much as we hate to admit he’s right, I think it was Farrell that said it’s quite rare for a kid to recommit to a school he decommitted from already.
Dean has mentioned family a couple of times and since AU is not in the picture and UGA with Kirby has a little more family feel than Saban’s Bama, I’m afraid he’s slipping away from us. Hope I’m reading too much into that and I’m wrong.
If I’m a recruit, those NFL salary numbers sway me if nothing else does.
Regarding this Glenn Schumann I keep reading about on Kirby’s staff: does anyone know if he’s any relation to Eric Schumann that was a player at Bama back in the 70’s? He was an assistant coach on my high school team.

I agree totally with you on that Phil.. the family talk has we worried. Saban is more about business and developing you as a player and person. Kirby is more family mixed with some business. Now Saban does that to keep all his 5 stars committed and pushing forwards the process. The question will be can Kirby do the same with more of a laid back feel. I often think it takes the business approach to handle so many personalities.. but time will tell. Kirby will either be a damn genius that was able to tweak the process or it will blow up in his face.

Jimbo at FSU is a great example of it blowing up. Crab legs was his down fall.. but he got his title. But he couldn’t sustain the success without the strictly business approach. I do think Kirby has more business in him than Jimbo, but we will see

He felt that he rushed it and committed too early. He wanted to go through the recruiting process. Same with Evan Neal.

Getting that way everywhere . Been in it 22 years and kids get less and less drive/competitive every year. Too much else to do these days

I think some folks are underestimating Bama's close-knit brotherhood and family culture.

I totally agree.. just from Dean’s comments and the fact he is hanging out with a UGA commit that is blue shirting..( which means he really love UGA to blue shirt) makes me worry some. Just want to see our commits come grab him and take him in. Dean doesn’t troll or play games. He comments are his real thoughts.. kid barley speaks

By the way people talk about the culture you would think you’ll get cut, like with a knife, if you make a mistake. Teammates are not real friends just work friends.

Bear88 and I will tell you.. this is a crucial part to the recruiting if he is really torn. This will make and break his choice .. who he feels more comfortable with. The kid is about to go off to college away from home.. he is looking for some friends. Remember we don’t get out of Mississippi much and Mississippi people don’t do well with strangers..lol

I also wonder how the D.J. Durkin hire will reflect on some parents.. we all know he won’t be around the players and such.. but remember how much Maryland fan base revolted on him.. we have some Maryland area kids committed. Not really a time to make that hire.. wait until after signing day. I see this as a mistake
