I wonder if Golding had any say in this.

Most likely. The kid is from nearby Golding's area.

I can't judge QB tape but he looked at least a little promising to me in his short highlight film on 247 - though his ball didn't look to have a ton of umph. Either way, the family picture at the beginning of the highlight tape was a nice touch.

Looking at Purdy's 247 profile. His Junior (as opposed to Senior) stats look a little rough. Haven't watched any tape on him though (not that it would matter). Maybe a kid that improves each year (which is an invaluable trait).

I remember Tyler watts, kendel Morehead and David Payne being on the covers

I remember listening to him on the radio and saying that Tyler Watts was the best HS quarterback he'd seen since Peyton Manning.

Man I'd like Eddie Smith. Strictly based off of film he is a guy who can play.

Teams and coaches guard their playbooks like the holy grail. It’s almost like state secrets. That’s why it came as a surprise Thursday when Tyisha Fernandes of WSB-TV in Atlanta tweeted that Alabama coach Karl Dunbar had his playbook, passport, cash, laptop and phone stolen two days before Alabama beat Georgia for the national title.

Screw the refs, UGA stole our playbook
It doesn't say it was Georgia who stole it, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it

Popping in to say congratulations and what a hell of a year you had!
Twice I've been heartbroken my Bama, but you are the measuring stick. Great game! Met some cool fans, as I always do.

Great game ! And awesome to have an outsider who is knowledgeable and sensible. Unlike some fan bases. Good luck in future. Unless you meet us . Peace

Surtain is a heavy lean to LSU, but we have a decent shot to get Campbell or Taylor-Stuart. Smith is likely a backup target, if we miss on all three and don't fill up the class with better takes at other positions.

Hope you are right on Campbell but UGA seems real confident on him

UGA is tough competition for sure. But, consider how much Saban is putting high draft pick DBs into the NFL and the success they're having when they get there. If I'm Campbell, it's a no brainer for me. I'm rollin' with the Tide.
