He wasn't getting promoted and they brought in another DB Coach, writing was on the wall.

I am hearing we're about to go scorched earth off the field after either the NCG or possibly will wait until after NSD. No idea on the who's or what's, but I do know that all of the off-field stuff said and done by Kirby in relation to CNS has him EXTREMELY pissed off and motivated. I'm positive that that is the case.

Saban always goes 150% on the recruiting trail but this implies he has not been. Early signing period will limit who is left and many of the top targets we are still looking at are looking elsewhere. No offense to your source(s) here I doubt Saban told you or them this specifically. Many are assuming and I doubt this is the 1st time if something actually shady happened has happened to Saban with a prior assist leaving.

The nature of the beast.

Q Walker

ALABAMA: "They have a great team every year, but with Pruitt leaving and I am hearing rumors about coach [Derrick] Ansley (Defensive backs) too, so I have some questions. They also have great depth at linebacker, so that is something else I am looking at. I still am a commitment, so nothing has changed yet."

Have confirmed that Tennessee will now receive official visit No. 1. Walker plans to be in Knoxville this weekend. After that, the next three weekends, Walker plans to visit Georgia, Auburn and Florida. In that order. He’s never planned to visit Alabama officially. - Chad Simmons

Seems Walker is gone as well.

I don't think Saban has handled the ESP well. Who would have guessed as many players would sign early as they did.

Saban will adjust and kick arse next year.

No. No, it doesn't. It has nothing to do with his personal intensity in recruiting. It has more to do with hires and strategies/tactics. I've been hearing since before the end of the regular season that there might be even more turnover than normal. Not undesired turnover (though he certainly wouldn't want to lose Pruitt), either. Losing Pruitt stings, but was always going to happen soon enough anyway. But after it all plays out, I think most of the other changes will be viewed (by Saban anyway) as a net gain.

In past 2 years we've lost Napier, Kiffin, Mario, Kirby, Pruitt, Davis, and others. Sometimes the excuse for not recruiting at the standard established is relationship turnover and that's the case here (on what will still be a top 5 class in Feb).

I think there will be several changes in the staff, but scorched earth would imply a complete retooling and that would be hard to imagine b/c Tosh, Burns, Golding not going anywhere. There may be changes in 4 of the other 7 though.

Gotta keep Tosh Happy . That would be a disaster to lose him as well

Not really the early signing period saved us this year honestly. Just imagine the kids that would probably leave if they had to wait until Feb. Then on the other hand maybe some of the new guys could work some magic.

Every recruit mentions a relationship with Tosh, to say it’s not a big deal to lose him is crazy

Majority of the class is signed. Not saying that it wouldn't hurt but we have a nice class as it is.

Guess I am more or less talking about the future and contacts he has with coaches and especially out west. Your right, the hay is in the barn this year for the most part

I think Sabah is going to have to be more than a closer for now on. Can't rely on coaches relationships when they'll only be here a few years.

8 spots left, those spots will make or break this class.

With Pruitt and now Ansley apparently gone as well, I really hope that coach gets some new young ace recruiters on staff
