The optics of him beating Bama for JJ Peterson is probably enough reason. That will get played up like hell in Knoxville.
Rush is a good offensive mind but I can't imagine him fitting in very smoothly as a position coach. He's the type of guy I can't picture taking orders very well. Especially from a guy that used to work for him.
