Yea I know. Dunbar hasn’t killed it on the trail really so if it’s true I’m ok with it.

The vibe I got from reading their comments didn’t seem very negative, and this would be a huge freaking loss for us haha

The guy we just hired has a background with DBs.

I don't know if we wind up signing him a lot (I know we like him a good bit), but Casey Rogers is going to make somebody a tremendous player. Hopefully it's us. Terrific athlete, instincts, and bloodlines.

None of us will, but I really doubt it's Tosh. I think he's fairly likely to get promoted to DC.

Ansley is one of our better recruiters, though. Wouldn’t want to lose him.

Why?

Pete Golding is my biggest reason. Too many DB coaches and not enough spots. He might land a DC job, as it's clear he isn't getting a promotion at Bama.

And to follow the narrative from the Cox's coach post, Ansley's area is Georgia. "After the season" makes me thing after NSD, which means the coach might be a small lynchpin in keeping recruits interested/committed.

And haven’t there been rumors about Chris Partridge being vetted as an assistant? He’s a LBs coach.

Well, if the 10th on the field coaching spot is used to hire an ILB coach (dude from Michigan) then you could have Ansley and Golding splitting secondary duties.

I see your point, though.

He was a beast at our Summer camp. Has supposedly been our #1 DT target for most of the recruiting process.

Barmore happened to come along unexpectedly. But Brown has been right there all along as a top target and viewed by our staff (rightly or wrongly) as an elite DT.

So one of Brenton Cox’s high school coaches that posts over on BOL is saying that an assistant coach will be leaving the staff after the season concludes (obviously not Jeremy Pruitt). Couple other guy chimed in and said they were hearing the same things and one guy said it’s a defensive coach if he is hearing the same things. Has to be Dunbar, right?

That has been the rumor. (That he might be going back to the NFL).

That would make several on this board happy. I, for one, think he's done a very nice job, though. We signed a great DL class (albeit not a very large one) with 3 elite DL signees in last year's class. We're singing another excellent one this time. His DL units have ranged from historically good last year to good this year (and considering how beat up we were and how many we lost from last year, I think that's a fine job). Granted he didn't assemble the talent on last year's DL, but he did a terrific job coaching them.

But nothing is set in stone yet.

Ugh. That's BamaCory. He's a huge attention whore and probably the reason why we didn't land Brenton Cox.

I kind of thought he was the reason we had any chance until Uga fans started acting like baby back bitches.

He is obviously a very good DL coach, but I think in college you HAVE to be an elite recruiter to be a DL coach. Those kids are the hardest to land it seems like. I’m too lazy to look it up tonight, but I don’t think he has been the primary recruiter on a lot of our better DL signees lately. I know he reeled in Mathis from LA last year so he gets credit for that.

How so? (I never really visit other recruiting boards, so I'm not sure who he is or what he did)

Per TAMU247, Bobby Brown will have a decision by Friday.

Sorry, Bone.

that's because our recruiting is broken up regionally. Locksley landed anoma, for instance, because he knows everybody in Maryland and dc
