Watts mentioned 3 hours ago that he didn't have his academics in a good position to enroll early.
If he can't enroll with us early, he sure as hell can't enroll at UGA early.
Smells like Watts is just making stuff up now.

That's all true but all I said was we lose everyone. Not that
quote:that's true. But all I said was that we were losing most of our secondary. Not that they weren't good.
We just had a DB win the Chuck Bednarik Award, Thorpe Award, was 1st team unanimous All American, & will probably be drafted in the 1st round of the NFL.

Watts has never been one to make things up. He will tell it to us straight when we miss on a recruit.

I think the "Us not accepting Nadab's NLI" is true. His twitter was ALL Bama until today. If he knew he was gonna decommit I dont think he would have been liking and Retweeting Bama stuff yesterday.

maybe my memory is bad. but didnt a fairly good number of you stalwarts here have high expectations for nigel knott when he signed. not throwing shade here. just wondering if his development could coincide with slow playing joseph?

Yea it’s not as simple as what you’re saying. We thought there was a risk he might not qualify and didn’t have the spots to risk it. UGA thinks they do.

All in all a pretty good day.
Excellent work by all you guys today in the thread - was unfortunately occupied today but was nice to work through 20+ pages tonight while smoking a fine cigar.
Let’s get Brown on board and get Barmore’s grades together and it’s starting to feel like a plan’s coming together.

I thought he would come in and be a monster on special teams from the start
I don't think the Joseph situation has anything to do with Knott

I put in a dream finish scenario of Petit-Frere, Campbell, ITS, JJ Peterson, Waddle, and Brown while taking out Parker (blueshirt) and ended up with a 306.39 on the class calculator.
I would be absolutely floored if we ended up in the 300s after how this class started.

Beating a dead horse here I guess but here’s another Bama recruiting writer’s input on Nadab Joseph.
Chris Kirschner

10:05 p.m. ET — Nadab Joseph wasn’t sent a letter of intent today, according to a person close to the program. He couldn’t sign with the Tide. I haven’t been told the reason for why he wasn’t given one. There could be multiple reasons: his grades aren’t up to par or Bama may feel better about some of those 5-star cornerbacks such as Tyson Campbell, Patrick Surtain Jr. and Issac Taylor-Stuart. When his guardian told me that Joseph was going to sign in February, my initial thought was he hasn’t qualified just yet. Some schools are willing to take the risk and sign a player who hasn’t fully qualified and some aren’t. Alabama did it with Raekwon Davis and it worked out. But there’s an early signing period now. Signing Joseph on Wednesday costs you a spot that you may not feel confident in.

To further beat the dead horse, Watts isn't sunshine pumping. He mentioned that we sent an NLI to DWA, but we were beat out for him. Regardless of how Bama posters feel, DWA was a highly coveted player for our staff.

Andrew Bone said that Saban liked DWA the most out of all of our coaches and that most of the staff was really over all the drama/bullshite haha
Posted on 12/20/17 at 9:56 pm to chattabama
I just can't get upset about losing DWA when we don't consistently utilize that position for anything more than a blocker.
Posted on 12/20/17 at 9:57 pm to chattabama
I can see why DWA would opt for UT. He's a JUCO with 2 years to play and less competition for PT there. Plus, UT is recruiting several of his teammates.

Hank says that Bobby Brown has all the credits he needs to enroll early.

How good a player is Brown?
Posted on 12/20/17 at 10:02 pm to chattabama
Bone (i know, I know) says Bama does not expect Brown to sign until February.
Hopefully this means he signs tomorrow!
