He would have to be hired as a full time assistant to still be able to recruit JJ Peterson.

Also, this thread is going to blow the megathread out of the water. Who knew we just needed a down year in recruiting to do so? And only about half of it was about tidesaint house hunting

NCAA rules require Propst to be hired as an on field assistant in order to be able to bring Peterson in. If you bring him on in a support role you can’t recruit Colquitt for at least two years.

Best thing that could happened is Nadab and Quay not to sign today IMO.

Yea if Quay decides to sign today, it's probably not good news for the good guys

Guess you have to look at it like if you don't sign today you aren't committed. Just how I look at it.

NCAA rules prohibit hiring high school coaches to support staff in order to recruit their players. In fact, you can't hire a high school coach to the support staff and recruit a player in the two years prior or two years after at said high school.

We need DL and DB's more. If Payne goes to the NFL we will only have SIX scholarship DL returning and we're likely losing 6 DB's to the NFL/Graduation.

Actually, the best thing would be if they both signed with Bama today. The early signing window is open through Friday.

That ain't happening unless UGA tells them no. So the best thing is what I said.

When does Jobe sign? Really not worried about anyone else.

It is an overzealous rule. Guys like Jeremy Pruitt would have never become college coaches if the rule existed in 2007.

After the Schiano fiasco, it would be curious to see how the files would react! Lol!

Oh really? I'm not saying it seems very likely atm for Walker or Joseph to sign with Bama today. However, Saban is a pretty dang good recruiter and closer. Since Kirby is apparently doing all he can two flip these two from us and sign them early, I figure Saban is also now working hard to sign them early if possible. Again bear in mind, the early signing period lasts for 3 days.
