Caleb Tremblay would be a great addition that could provide some depth. True frosh cant always be counted on to make immediate impacts

Yeah, the future of the DL is looking good as of late. If Buggs stays, we'll have Raekwon Davis, Buggs, Quinnen Williams, and Ray who have all flashed lately.

Johnny Dwight and Phidarian Mathis as well.

There's actually a chance that Payne comes back. I wouldn't have said that was possible before the season. But he's not on any mock 1st round drafts. Needs to become a better pass rusher for the NFL.

Last I checked he was a first rounder but that was old, either way I was worried but now I think we will be fine. We have LB's for years but our secondary will be the question. If we lose Damien and Bo we will have a unproven Najee Harris and a change of pace back in Josh Jacobs so RB could be a question mark as well

I doubt Payne stays.

His play exceeds the stat sheet, and thats what a lot of mock drafts rely on.

He's a top 50 pick at worst...

I think Robinson has looked good and Harris has been fine. I think Jacobs might be a change of pace based on this year, but I think he could handle a Harris-like load with very little issue. RB is not one spot where I'm too concerned. An injury or two could change that.

I'm not sure where Bo is going, though.

It's a very small chance. I don't know his family, but I know someone who does. They all expect/want him to go after this year. He's the pay day for a lot of people, unfortunately.

I hear that in sports all too much, the PAYDAY for the family. That can lead to problems down the road

Can't blame the kid for wanting to leave early and take care of his family.

Best to get paid while you can, it only takes one play to possibly end someone's football career.

Goodness, people. We do this every year. We always offer guys, even late in the process, when we don't even really have a current spot for them. Bunches of them. Every year. Contingency plans that are unlikely to have to be needed. Or else someone is completely blowing up.

When do you think Alabama receives the next commitment and who do you think it will be?
From @LoganKiker

I think Alabama will land its next commitment on Nov. 2, and that player will be 4-star defensive tackle Bobby Brown.

You could also make the case that Brown, outside of Ohio State QB commit Emory Jones, was Alabama’s most important visitor last weekend with the team needing to land a few elite interior defensive linemen this class.

According to one person close to the program, Brown’s visit couldn’t have gone much better. But, a visit to Texas A&M, arguably Alabama’s biggest competitor at this point, looms this weekend.

Still, the Crimson Tide held a sizeable lead in his recruitment over the summer when he visited for camp. Alabama feels like not much has changed with its chances since then. If anything, this trip helped the team’s chances of landing the team’s top defensive tackle target.
