Just look at how he has rebuilt the coaching staff with very damn good young recruiters who are on th rise in the coaching ranks. That should tell you all that you need to know that Coach isn’t messing around and he’s about to wreck some shite.

We got our asses kicked today.
I kinda wish Surtain Jr. would've announced late today so we could've been repeatedly kicked in the nuts, but then ended on a golden, high note

It could still happen with Jaylen Waddle.
He is a 5-star on Rivals.

Still unsure why everyone keep saying we can fill out a 3 deep on the DL. A lot of time the same guy is a back up for a starter. Really it all boils down to being a bunch of spoiled asses when it come to recruiting.
8 DL on scholarship, so we're 1 short of having a 3-deep unless James is converted to a DE, Parks puts on a lot of muscle and is moved to DE, or we convert one of our nearly 20 scholarship OL to DT.
Dwight, Buggs, Davis, Williams, Ray, Mathis, Wynn, Barmore. We need to convert guys to DL, add grad transfers (preferably ones with 2 years of eligibility), and hope like heck we stay healthy. 1 or 2 injuries and our DL could impact our season.

It’s hilarious some people can’t get on here and just simply say “yes, we got our arse whipped this recruiting cycle.”

I guess I have to say it.. I will not be the next recruiting thread moderator.

I was saying Bama was getting there arse kicked for weeks in recruiting? No one believed me until today.

I said pretty early that this class wouldn't be near our ones from the past few years. We still got some studs though, and we more than filled our greatest need at corner. I think we didn't go hard enough after some instate guys that could've rounded out the class better.

add grad transfers
People keep saying this. Anyone know of any likely candidates at DT that would be good enough to play from the start (even in a backup role)?

You also said with absolute certainty we were not getting Surtain too. You were wrong, we were wrong, everybody was wrong.

If the idea is rotational depth I'm sure there are a few guys out there who could provide 1 year of stop-gap depth.
The good news our issue in 2019 is just the fear of depth concerns (which as we learned last year is a legitimate fear). We will have very good talent there. It'd be much worse if we were scanning the grad transfers for impact players.
To be completely honest, if the goal is guys who can be depth and play in a pinch, a grad transfer with 4 years in a D1 weight program is probably a better fit than a true freshman anyway. Now, obviously that can only be a 1 year thing because you need kids who have high ceilings and aren't 1 and done, but for this specific purpose it actually fits very well.
